likkkkke, lol why is anyone worried over losing their grenades?? that's like not even CLOSE to what they said.
Just think of it like a gun!!!!
you run out of ammo, but you don't lose the gun!!
I just posted on her Twitter as well.
we would all like to see grenades stay the way they are there is nothing wrong there i have tried all the grenades and chosen my favs actually i use many different types but they dont know that why do they feel they have to force me to do something i have already done i believe in if its not broken dont fix it , and most of us know trion does not care what we think or how we feel
12 Noon EST 9/3 Monday - Received messge via Twitter from Dahanese that she is asking the team.
Now that the holiday weekend is over here in the US, we can get back to the new air of open communication around here!
I am just wondering why the new sudden interest in Grenades....?
How about fixing the holes in the Mod/Bonus system first before tampering with something that is not broken in the least. If the best reason they can come up with is "It's to get people to use different types of grenades....." We do that NOW..... I see every type being used between PVP and PVE. They are perhaps the one aspect of the game that is fine as is. (Though would love a Radiation Splash, Syphon Burst, Fire Splash (Like the Raiders, where the burning pool is left behind), Smoke, and Proximity Mine type Nade)
I agree. I currently own a Legendary Pyro, Bio, Cluster, and Flash Grenade. The answers to this question will determine if I get a Frag grenade. I have been told that an EGO 5000 Frag Grenade goes for 1.5 million on the forums. Who would want to pay that and then have it taken away? I would have to sell several things to get it and then it would possibly be worth nothing after DLC2.
Sure but that's not the only thing this involves. Again for me it's a question (a high priority one) that if they really do want to solve some of the lag outs or timeouts, then why insert new mechanics that will add complexity to the game and that will force players to do something that is known to often cause timeouts.
The addition of new ammo drops will cause more lag, if that's how this works. As it is now if you have huge amounts of stuff laying on the ground, there's a higher possibility of lag and lagging out. Add grenade ammo to that. And the mechanics of it-the game has more to "think" about when you're in the middle of a fight, and other possible ways to replenish grenades (maybe stims)-these things will all add to lag.
The other big issue is that it will "force" players to go to their loadout screens in the middle of say an arkfall or siege and that is often known to be something that lags people out with regularity. They specifically say this will get people to use grenades they don't often use and you have to go to the loadout screen to change out grenades--unless there's another new game mechanic that can be used to change them.
Also, this change has no specific reason addressed other than to get players to try out other grenades. It is not explained as something done to fix anything, and if it is, I believe it could well break more than it fixes. This is why all facets of this subject do need to be explained. The why and the how of it all-people want to know why it's being done and how it will work. Very valid questions.
And some of us are asking the other question and that's about how it will affect lag and timeouts. I firmly believe the idea of wanting people to change to other grenades is not a good enough reason to risk more lag, nor is it something that needed to be addressed. Answers to these questions would stifle my and other people's speculation on how this would work and what it would do.
