There are so freaking many pointless combinations as it is, and then you throw syns into it, and the fact that matching mods to weapons can take longer than many people will ever be in the game that by the time it happens the only people around you are all newbs and your friends have been long gone.

I have an inv of about 150 weapons that are not good enuff to use but too good to trash, because maybe someday I might find that assassin barrel, but until then it's not as good as the R&G that just needs that mag.

And if I put a green on a purple weapon with blue mods, I can never get the bastage off without losing the blue mods or the purple weapon.

It's getting more and more frustrating with the thousands of combinations of weapons I've crushed in the E-4500 I've leveled thru that I'm just running out of care anymore. I love the game, but I'm just getting tired of the fact that every time I mod a weapon with an almost good enough green the weapon is trash as soon as I find the right mod, but not modding it while I wait for the perfect part means I might never actually use the weapon before I erase the game.

I wouldn't mind if blu mods were harder to get if I could play with some 'almost good enuff' green mods and selectively trade individual mods up on weapons, or remove them to use on other weapons without trashing the donor weapon and mods.
As it is now it's just a frustrating clusterfrack of stupid handicapping to keep us crippled.
Completely agree, what I have done is shelve my "good" weapons and add Blue mods as I find them. I use sub-par weapons that I can slap a green mod on and not be too upset when I find a Blue, since that goes on my shelved weapon.

Also level my "good" weapon until I get the mastery bonus, that has turned many a "good" into "sub-par."

With all the suggestions to allow the removal of a single mod/not having to choose weapon or mod to destroy, hopefully we will see a change...
