As soon as I finish the initial tutorial I get a server error timeout. When I reconnect to that character it logs me in for a few seconds then boots me out again. ANyone else getting this?

Yeah same thing happens to me.
Same here.
Try making sure to leave the game and patcher completely. Who knows if the patcher needs something. I was having a "similar" problem when I disconnected and kept losing connection. I exited everything and reopened the patcher and went from there. I'm back in now.
Same happening to me and I already completely exited out everything, I finished the intro after bombing that place or whatever and I get "CRITICAL Your connection to the Defiance servers has timed out." Every time I log back in after about 30 seconds it will say the same message and take me to character select screen. Has anybody figured out a way to fix this?Originally Posted by djin

The main world appears to be shut down now until launch, i wouldn't doubt there being a clean wipe before true launch. If not just be happy you got a slight head start over others.
I had that happen once to me. I logged back on and there was NOBODY around and I was stuck in that same area with the reactor. I ran towards the wall where the script starts the jumping scene part and caused me to disconnect. Now, after relogging, I got placed at the newbie area in Mount Tam.
My wife account is doing the same thing Please help Devs!!!
