Silly question but have you checked your NAT.

i have the newest dashboard (not the dashboard with 5 blades) and i want to check my NAT settings. when i do "test Xbox Live Connection", there are no problems at all, im connected to Xbox Live perfecty (there is nothing about NAT settings and there are no "more info" options). however, i dont have any games to play online multiplayer so i dont no if i can join games or not. my question is, how can i check whether my NAT settings are strict, moderate or open???

It used to tell you there, but now doesn't.

Simplest thing to do is reboot your router . It probs won't do anything but nothing to loose

Or if you own any call of duty games they normally tell you what your NAT type is.

But i doubt it's a NAT problem i've reset my router about 1hr ago, It never done me any good
