Yes, we have elected a new Prime Minister, the racist, homophobic, and idiotic Tony Abbott (I didn't vote for him! - seriously I just doodled on the ballot, no politician was worthy of my vote) and now we will be passing laws that borderline break human rights and will be getting a wonderful new internet system by 2019 that is the same as some of the internet available in third world countries right now. Plus there will be cuts to school funding, social benefits for pretty much everyone and it will instead be funneled into attempting to stop illegal immigrants arriving on boats.

I seriously believe he is going to piss off so many people that he will be assassinated or, hopefully, badly beaten.

yeah abbotts an idiot (and i agree with you that there all idiots) but i dont have a problem with them stopping boats from just arriving here and dropping people off.

i usually vote for either the shooters party(this year) or the motoring enthusiast party. when i was younger i would vote for the make weed legal party.

on our ballets sometimes there might be square with no name in it. i have put my name in there before and ticked it number 1. but if you do anything like that or even just make a mistake the vote wont count.

i've been reading about the refugee issue with australia. frankly, i agree with the restrictions proposed. reason being, most of those seeking that status think that there is an easy dollar to be made by as many illegal means possible. it is what happens to any developed country. australia has just been way more lax on enforcement for the past 30 years, and now its catching up to them. seriously. how hard is it to even get a work visa to new zealand? they were smart from the start.

heaps of kiwis come to australia to work (better pay apparently). but im pretty sure kiwis dont need a visa to work in australia.
