Worth giving Defiance a second shot?

There's no fee for coming back. It's not a subscription MMO or something, either come back and play around or not. Why must you bother asking?

Hi man, I am asking because of the 16gig (not dead sure, I´m not home now) DL. I know there is no fee.

My most burning questions probably are:
- did Defiance become anything more like an MMO? (talking about the social factor)
- is there finally a proper chat window?
- are there banks to store your gear / are there auction houses?
- is there more content? (only "content" I have ever seen was back then the stupid recorders for episode missions)

not trying to be a smart a**, but wouldnt it be easier just to load the game and run around for 20 min to see any changes vs starting a thread, replying to post, etc?. the game has come a long way since launch. yes there still are some bugs that need to be worked out (new and old), some new things has been added. still lost on the dlc part. 90% of it is free, so i dont understand why pay $10 for it. i have friends that paid $10 for the raptor 4 player truck, but refuse to pay $10 for the dlc, especially when the truck plus multi other things come with the 10 buck fee . and you get more for your $10 with the dlc, so that just blows my mind. someone already stated and i agree with them 100%, if you didnt like the game to begin with, you prob never will. me on the other hand love this game, and still play it as much as possible. i have a small group of friends that play just as much as i do, and that alone makes the game much better. it does get old and boring playing a "mmo" style game solo. best of luck to ya.

I was under the impression that forums are there, for seeking help and opinions.

Also to answer your question directly: like I pointed out in the post above, I rather start a thread here and spend a minute typing my thoughts, than having to DL quite some GB. Isn´t that faster and more efficient?

I am on PC-EU and the whole land is just ghost town.

Huh ? I had not that feeling... That might be because I play in the evenings and during week-ends. At these hours, it's fine. Not exceptional, but fine, though.

i wasnt jumping your sh*t or anything, just asking a question. yea it only takes a few min to start a thread, but to wait for replies, opinions and all can take some time depending on the time of day and who all actually wants to say anything. you are correct on forums are made for info, help and opinions, i was asking a question and stating my opinion. it only takes me 15 maybe 20 min to d/l a patch, so why its doing that ill take the trash out or do the dishes while its doing so.

plus when it comes to other peoples opinions, i dont hold my breath. for example: looking for opinions on movie reviews, there have been quite a few movies that got bad reviews, and i absolutely loved them. anyways apologies, i wasnt trying to come off as a d*ck or a troll. best of luck to ya on your decision of the game, there are a bunch of new ones coming out that look pretty bada*s, so im sure youll find something.
