*small wall of text, with almost no grammer*

i'm not particluar with giving out my iRL name

Started out playing Total Annihilation when i was 9 after watching a friend of mine play it. and after getting internet access ( dial-up though ) starting to mod it to my liking. played with it for about 2 years on a daily basis, till i got a N64. then branched out into shooters and driving genre's. then came a PS2, did the same genre's there. and then finally got a semi-decent gaming laptop. as soon as i got the laptop, a cousin handed me his copy of Starcraft 1. that was on my 15th birthday. did a little on all 3 for the next year. then on my 16th : got my first vehicle, and subsequently my first job. thats when i really lost time to "just play".

within the last 5 years : played Discovery Freelancer http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php. then after a few minor tweeks and lagging issues, i left that. just under 2 years ago is when i found STO ( Star Trek Online ) http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/ with the intoduction of Season 7 and subseqent changes to get certain gear, i'm winding my time down on that so i can get a bit of a break in order to start on Defiance, with a clear head.

have yet to get a beta invite, but seeing as it's just under a month away : i doubt i'm gonna get one.

( and finally : bumping this thread )

I'm Ryan, 30 yrs old. I have been an avid pc gamer since the early days when the 8088 was a blazing fast piece of hardware. Mostly I dabbled in text based adventure games and muds but never stuck with one for long. I entered the MMO scene officially with the launch of WoW. I started playing before the release and played off and on until Cataclysm expansion pack released. I've dabbled in virtually every major mmo to be released since then. Absolutely loved Tabula Rasa but the buggy nature of the game seemed to drive most everyone away and it ultimately died.

Since I have left WoW Rift provides my MMO needs for now while I wait for Defiance to release. I tend to play solo, which is unusual in a MMO but it's mostly due to playing odd hours. I may live in the US but I keep Australian hours as far as game play is concerned.

Hello all I'm one of a few old school gamers in here. I haven't been playing MMO games that much the last one was Star Trek Online but I'm looking forward playing Defiance. It'll be my first MMO on the console not really into the competitive mode like PvP I'm more of a cooperative gamer.

    G'Day,

I'm Bubbalou (or just Bubba in-game), though there are some who call me... Tim?

I've been a PC gamer for many years; my MMO experience starting when I tested Ultima Online for a college buddy who worked at Origin Systems. I've since beta'd (and usually gone on to play afterwards) Asheron's Call, Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan, Fallen Earth, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Guild Wars 2.

Some of my non-MMO favorites are the Fallout series, the Elder Scrolls series, the Mass Effect series, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Arcanum.

I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic games/fiction and the fact that Defiance gives us BOTH has me really excited for the game and show! Expect to see ol' Bubba locked & loaded when launch comes a month from now...

    Cheers!

Greetings and Blessings, Allow me to introduce myself.
I am Damagefox. While this isnt my real name, it is more than just a chosen gamertag. This is my pen name, my handle. I am a gamer, but at the same time so much more. I am an artist. Most people say my artwork is stylized, made for comic books, animation, video games, concept characters, mascots, etc. I am self taught but pretty good or so I am told (ask for samples, I might put up an album of some of my works ). Ontop of that I am also a very accurate Tarot card reader. I read tarot cards, Oracle cards, Runes, Pendulum, and Have been introduced to psychometry (reading the psychic vibrations off an object). I am very good at this, been doing it for over 4 years now and have had MANY clients come back to tell me my predictions have come to pass exactly as I had laid them out.

When It comes to games, I am a team-player. I am a bit of a kami-kaze. I will go down but I will make sure to drag as many enemies as I can (kicking and screaming) with me. I have a little phrase that I put on my profile that seems to make sense to me, but I get alot of people who I am sure this has happened to. and it goes like this: If I am shooting and you walk infront of me, resulting in your death. That is NOT team-killing, thats Natural Selection! Even shooters require strategy, so use your head for more than just a bullet sponge!"

Now as for Defiance and where I will be playing? The answer to that is...Everywhere and anywhere (so technically its free advertisement). See I won a prize a while ago (a $500 prepaid visa giftcard) and so I used it to pick up a Gaems 155 sentry Personal Gaming Environment. This means that I will be able to hook up my xbox and play Defiance ANYWHERE with a power outlet and a wifi connection, and there is a cafe with both right next to work (I have started going there on my lunch breaks during work and getting in some online MP matches). I have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, I really like the look of the messenger bag and the Statue. And hoping I get an invite into the beta

Well there is my not so little introduction. Drop me a message anytime Blessed be. and Happy Hunting!

Sup Denizens of Defiance. Names Connell and I'm 21. I go by Ragna on these forums. I just got wind of Defiance a week ago and after watching some videos I fell in love with how the game would blend with the tv show, as well as the amazing amount of work Trion put into making this the best possible mmo shooter they possibly could. I'm both a huge fan of fighting games such as Blazblue, DOA and KOF and of course shooters such as Halo 4, Far Cry 3 and will soon pick up Crysis 3. As you can tell from my profile pic I'm a fan of anime/manga and love when the sci-fi genre blends with it like the anime Akira.

Games of the sci-fi genre I follow the lore of are Dead Space and Halo.
I am a huge sci-fi fan and love when the world is well crafted. The fact that Trion worked with the Syfy network during development is a huge plus for me in showing how dedicated they are to including players with these two mediums for experiencing Defiance.
When it comes to playing shooters I tend to plan out my moves and use stealth before all else (This isn't to say I can't get wild in a brawl though). Tricking and out maneuvering my opponents is the name of my game.

About me personally, I love to play guitar and play games with the family. I just enlisted in the United States Navy and before I ship out I want to play this game. Of course I'll come back to it after basic training, but I just really like the idea of being involved in a dynamic world with other players cutting loose.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition (may upgrade if I have the cash) of Defiance for xbox, and if any fellow ark hunters want to team up, my tag is P47CHW0RK.
    Cya around ark hunters.

    Just call me Vaz.

Played a lot of MMOs. Started with EQ2. I've been waiting for a good Science Fiction one. This looks like a contender. I hope it doesn't go the way of Tabla Rasa.
