I am a 63 year old from the SF Bay Area. been gaming sense the '90's, my first PC game was X-Wing. First MMO was Galaxies then the Lord of the Rings and now in TOR.
Big time Science Fiction fan and am hoping the game and the show really show us something...

Hello, My name is Crystal, Ive been playing games since i was 1 going on 2 so about 18 to 19 year will be 19 to 20 years as next month is my Bday. :3 Ive played tons of MMOs mostly FTP but i have played WoW since Pre BC up untill the end of Cata on an off for 2 years and played FFXI for 2 years. I have always had every console but as of now due to money... can only afford so lil. My Laptop is reaching its limits and my Xbox 360 Power Box is busted so i can no longer play it so Im stuck with Good Old Ps3. :3 I love to Draw art and listen to music an hopeful fulfill my dream of being a game art and designer or be close to what I love so passionately (games/gaming).... Hopeful one day when my life is striaghten out ill buy all the games I have longed for but for now Ill be playing Defiance once it launches... :3

Nice and welcome (sort of as I see you have been here for a bit at least)! Got any art online that I could look at? I love art but I'm pretty mediocre at it, got a couple of drawings that I am a little proud of, but they aren't amazing or nothing.

sadly no i wish i could being poor is really holding me back on alot of things... My laptop and the family computer dont really have the stuff i need to do the things i love I would love to show the world my art to see if it could land me a college help idk what u call it or become an understudy under a big gaming company... But tbh I just want to get closer to gaming at a more deeper lvl then just playing them. but like u im not the best because i discover my art skills at a late age so its not the greatest like other ppl ive seen growing up in school. its getting better as im self teaching myself :c ways of doing face, body, hands, feet, etc. but that wont stop me from trying to reach my dream :3
Good for you! I joined an art course for a bit when I was around 23 I think... if you're doing realism then you should pick up 'drawing from the right side of the brain' excellent source. If you're more thinking animated then it's probably not the book to go for.

lol ur words kinda confuse me sorry im thinking more of the lines of Rift/WoW kinda art like making creatures and beasts an stuff like that humanoid creatures that walk on 2 feet or mounts... lol that reminds me, I do have a picture of a mount i would have love to see in Rift I pretended to work for Trion an came up with a mount design maybe ppl would have liked it but yea i did it for fun :3 but it would be cool if it really happen :3 but my mom did tell me i have potential of drawing portieres of real ppl but i dont find it as fun

Kris, 26 years old, from Norway. Pretty new to the Defiance community, enjoying the forums so far. So damn excited for the Beta, been watching like every video out there also livestreams from Trionworld to keep the hype level up.
Hey guys. I pre-purchased the game on steam, and I excited to see the game in person, hopefully soon!!!
I'm 38, and I live in the Colorado Rockies in the summer, and Houston in the winter. I have been dreaming of a great FPS-MMO for a long time, and this is the first game to look like it might do it right.
Looking forward to the show as well.
