Thing is, right now, the only real end-game content that frakking game has is PvP. PvP is the only game mode where you can die 10 times in less than 15 minutes, it's the only mode where opponents are really trying to kill you and it's the only mode where Victory is never easy and assured. Not to mention that save a few exception, it's always PvP stuff that is the most expensive on Trade forums... Maybe because PvP requires a real high-end equipement if you want an edge over your enemies, while in PvE you can do well with almost any weapon... Even if that weapon is a Slugger, a Birdshot Pump or a VOT Bolter.
Now, if you want precise answers on what could happen if certain weapons are nerfed/corrected :
- If Infectors lose their aim-assist ability : zero DPS loss, as long as your aim is OK, you won't see any difference. Same goes if Eggs' size is greatly reduced : 0 DPS loss.
- If Big Boomer's DMG or Radius is reduced : save a few exceptions tied to unlocking weapon mastery's bonus, I have yet to see people use BBs in PvE, where Ground Pounder is King. So almost zero consequences too.
- If Surge Bolter's base DMG or Hip Accuracy is reduced : same, no consequences : Sniper Rifles become completely useless when more than four people are around you because of enemy's scaling. In very small groups or in solo, any charged headshot is already overkill.
See what I mean ? No need to be nervous, dude.
