the codes should be applied on the website, and if you're posting here you're logged in so um? Don't forget right now the server is probably loaded with everyone all over trying to logon and apply codes, it's probably sitting back in some corner huddled there listening to all this raving going why me why me why me next code that's entered I'm going to divide by zero and just end it all (ok so it was taken over by Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide)

I changed my password twice now, and it's still giving me the not entitled message on the old password... Something is majorly F-ed up here.

I had the same problem... I tried the password thing, and it didn't work, Keep in mind that after it works, you have to patch the game anyways... Basically what I did was Deleted all the beta files(and the defiance folder in your steam/common folder) then restarted steam... After that, the defiance game in your library will go from "Defiance- Ready to play" to just "Defiance" click that, it will prompt the loader, put your username/password in, launch, patch, wait an hour and some change... and Play. (Or so I hope... 51 minutes and counting left on the DL.)

i have the same problem as well. steam user. got the 3 codes (pre order, 3 tier bonus and the standard edition) in a window when installation complete. keyed in all codes but encountered the same "not authorized" error message.
changed password as advised and luckily i still remembered my secret answers, keyed in the RIFT mobile authenticator code, and the same problem persisits. tried the subscribing to the newsletter thingy. still fail.
BUT after 30 minutes later, it went to the update page!! YAY!! Solved!! Updating now at fibre speed of 7mb per second!! Please try this and hope it works for you.
got same log in prob, changed pass 2 times now, waiting for it to get effect.
also pre ordered from steam
