    Why were the pre-order weapons nerfed?

    Has anyone kept their pre-order weapons and were they nerfed like the sporeshot? I'm not sure if the BMG from best buy got nerfed since I don't recall anyone complaining about them. I kept my sporeshot and I remember having a nice 30+ (35?) range on it. Now it's down to 20 and isn't even comparable to other bug guns. I broke down my Hydra in the first couple of days. I didn't know how to use it and the UI had absolutely no tutorial for it. Not like it matters though.

    It bothers me that the incentive I was offered to pre-order the game got trashed like so many other weapons. The sporeshot was an awesome infector. Now, it just collects dust because it doesn't spawn as many bugs as it used to and the range got cut down a lot. The canker and invaders are now just better guns. I would really like to see our weapons brought back to their former glory. These items were unique items because we pre-ordered the game.

    I'm sure it was an issue of being overpowered. They probably didn't want pre-order guns to be overpowered, because you then have the complaints of a pay-to-win system (which it would be, just a little). It would suck, though, if the best weapons were unobtainable, because it wouldn't allow for balance.

    They are blue weapons with no bonuses. I can't see them being overpowered.

    Yup same thing with the Ark Code guns. The Assault Rifle and Shotgun had basic base stats. No different then anything else, yet they got the worst nerf of all. And for what? What was the use of getting all those Ark Codes??...Just to be able to acquire the 2 worst guns in the game? Makes no sense.

    The Assault Rifle had 220 dmg. Very Normal. Now 167 dmg

    The Shotgun was 89x8 dmg. Basic. Now 67x8 dmg

    Except they weren't over powered. They said from the start that they were not better than any gun you could find and you would replace them pretty quickly and their only purpose was to give you a head start on certain weapon types. There was no reason to nerf them and they have to actually acknowledge it or why.

    Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

    The answer is simple they did it because with the new way to reset mastery. And the fact that most weapons have been nerfed already making the orange and purples no better than any other.

    Plus the adding of synergy mods what would be the point of changing weapons as you lvl?. So if you nerf them you have to get rid of them basicly as soon as you can find something anything else.

    People got rid of them very quickly once they found weapons with synergies anyways. THe starter and pre-order weapons were identical to the exact same unnamed version of that specific gun of that color. Only the named blues (starter/pre-order) Do NOT have synergies and have never been great! The best early gun in the game when it was released was the AR Nolan gives you. The rest were all quickly replaced. I only kept my hydra and sporeshot because they are named, but I never use them.
