So this thread was posted by a player, and not posted/stickied by someone from the dev team? Wow. Just wow.

The dev team made it a blog entry. That's what they do when they don't want something to fade away. The comments on a blog can be voted up or down so the team can get a better sense of the community's reaction to the address.

Getting random crap rolls I'm ok with....getting random dropped from the game the same way i was on the first day of play....the first day....6 months later their is still an issue....that's ridiculous....these are supposed to be professionals...with degrees in programming....wt.f....feels like a company based out of a garage.....they should be ashamed and give us our money back...

Its all nice and everything Trick but..
Its too late. Lets be completely realistic here.
No matter what improvements are made, the game is going to be abandoned when Destiny and its ilk come along. Im not saying that as a personal decision myself, but due to the absurd amount of problems this game allready has, and lets face it, word of mouth has doomed it too, you guys would be better off refunding season passes, and putting the game down now, instead of spending cash and time trying to bail out a sinking ship, using a thimbal.

I loved this game, and still play it quite a bit, but I think its slightly pointless now. Too many mistakes, not enough listening to the majority of your consumer base wanted.. and so many ridiculous issues..

I may be wrong, id like to be proven wrong. But realisticly.. I think im right

See... that's kind of what you can do on an OFFICIAL game's forums... make a subject like this a STICKY so it doesn't fade away from the public eye. But as I have said before... keep coming up with excuses for people, it does such a huge amount of good.

Think you can let me know what the dev team had for lunch yesterday, while you're at it?

That's an ongoing issue that they are working on continually (as per Trick in previous statements). No need to repeat that here.

Why would there be no need to comment on the biggest issue facing this game BJ? Maybe let us know if they have made any progress as there is absolutely no sign of it in the game. After all it is probably the single biggest issue that's driving people away from the game and possibly stopping some potential newcomers giving it a try.

Nope. Anything they do will be irrelevant to many if it's not possible to play the game without timing out ten times or if lag is so bad they can't do anything in it.

Adding more complicated mechanics for doing currently simplistic things is not encouraging. The alternative is to abandon the idea of drops of any kind, except they're relying on drops needing to be more plentiful. I foresee in all of this (based on statements of weapon balance and inventory consolidation) that the ways they're going to address lag are by reducing things we now have.
