Not getting Defiance

After the **** up with Amazon UK etc and the UE of Defiance I canceled my order and decided to buy the standard edition instead. Now that the game has launched the forums are full of people complaining about things not working and things going wrong.

I was going to buy the game today but due to all the problems I have decided not to bother. At least until everything is sorted. Might get it cheaper in a few weeks.

I'm kinda glad my UE was late now, gives it 10 days for problems to be sorted, and I still be all those goodies and the season pass for £63. Waiting may be the best option for now though, **** I know but nowt we can do

Day one launches are always a bit frenetic, especially with MMOs. My guess is the main teething problems will all be ironed out within 24 hours.

I might do the same thing. 10am till gamestop opens where I am so will be a while before I pick up my preorders.

Every mmo at launch usually has a few bugs, but as I browse thru the forums here this is starting to get real ugly & fast.

If I do cancel I'll prob just get the basic vanilla and save the 300 bucks.

I hope they get it all straightened out, the shop thread seems to also have some unhappy customers but /shrug

Man, I hope everyone of the other 6.97 billion people on earth who aren't getting Defiance don't come here and tell us they aren't buying the game like the op did. That'd make the forums rather messy.

I think you're in luck, they do a Non-Special Unedition for Non-purchasers. It's free, too! Comes with nothing at all, but the system requirements are great - doesn't even take up a single byte of your hard drive

I do hope you change your mind and come back later. It's an MMO though, first day issues are par for the course.

This is why I love gamefly you lose out on all the little extras from pre ordering ( actually you can still get them to) and the special edition items but you don't get stuck with something you don't like and if you order it then decide to keep it it's like 20+ off the game and you got a brand new copy of the game if you had it sitting in your que.

You want that special gamestop pre order weapon or what not just pre order the game pick it up copy the code off your receipt return the unopened game put in your pre order code on your rented copy and now you to have the pre order bonuses with out buying the game from them and saved 20$ on top of it.

or just keep it as a rental for a while till it drops to a price you want to pay.

Also if you get a EA game with a online code like BF3 when you keep the game they send you the code you always get everything that came with the game.

Their better to deal with then gamestop I cringe every time I see a game stop exclusive ultimate or collectors edition I usually have to take a big swig from the pepto bismal or eat a bunch of tums just to go into their store to deal with them you know their going to mess things up the question is how bad?

Thats why amazon has the smile on the box because your happy with your product when it gets their.
