    Question about Replaying Storyline

I've read up on what info I could about replaying the storyline. What info I wasn't able to glean was this........ If I replay the story line and take my time this time around, when the next DLC comes out, will I have to completely finish the main storyline again so I can progress in the game. Or does the game acknowledge that I already completed it, and it will let me opt of of continuing and let me get at the new stuff?

I think it will let you just start the DLC. I beat all of the quests for the first DLC then did the replay story option and was able to go right back and redo the DLC without even starting the first main game quest. Its something like 25 rep per quest so it cut down on arena rep farming.

It depends. Currently the storylines released with Dlc are stand alone stories so the main story doesn't affect them. But if they ever release a continuation to the storyline then you most likely won't be able to do it until you reach that point in the story. They have said Dlc1 and 2 both have stand alone stories, wich means you don't have to worry about that until Dlc 3 at the earliest.

I would think since you beat the game and reset with the next DLC it would have its own start point on the world map so you could start/do anytime you want other then the main story you on. I would think that wouldn't mess with that.

If it helps, when DLC 1 came out, I had not yet completed my first playthrough and I was able to complete all of the DLC just fine. I don't think the two are connected much.

Well I had the dlc and I reset like 7 time on the 360 but this my first time and on the Ps3 and with the DLC. After I did that I went back to the arena and would not let me play and I like why until someone was nice enough to tell me I must go to the blue start point on my map and all was good. So it worked like that for the first 1 but will it work like for the rest is up for grabs who knows?

Have another question: Will your ego reset to zero if you restart the storyline and do you have to start a new character?
    TIA

When I reset no my ego level stays the same. I guess that would be cool if it reset and got some kind of badge/achievement for beating the story mission for the first time and with each time we replay the story and beat it some kind of badge or 2 thumbs up pop up on my tv to say good job.

If you reset when I have did it/done it just resets your main story missions so you can go back and play them. I not done it yet but I would imagine if you made a new guy you would have to start missions over but for you current player it should be fine. If you do restart just be the main missions.

When I reset all I had to do was go to dlc 1 mission start location to get the arena reopened and main mission restarted but I have all my weapons and skill/stats I invested in stay the same when I did it not even 2 weeks ago.

Ok, so I restarted my storyline. When I did it gave me a warning message. Pretty much all info about my last play through would be lost. So, if and when Trion puts out any content that directly ties into the main story arc will not be playable until you finish the main storyline again.

However, since I already completed all the side missions, the main story is going pretty fast. Turns out the main story is much shorter than it feels, those side missions created a lot of filler.
