Well it is not fixed and there are excuses on top of excuses but looking into the future for the FUTURE of the game what would make you spend more? Say Trion didn't mention anything about the DLC what would make you spend money on their game? What would you and YOU spend money on a DlC within the game?

i wouldnt spend Shtako on this game if i had it my way and xbox could have but i bought the dang season pass before they changed the Microsoft points to actual money i could have gotten my 3200 points back then i would have sold this game and never thought about it again i wish they would have found another company to make this game besides trion there totally inexperienced with making mmos for platforms there good with PC but on on here they should have gave it to a company that could actually handle this kind of job( and doesnt have to lay off half there staff). but thats my personal opinion

If you ask me it's quite simple. They got the base game for B2P which is OK. Not grand, it's decent. Then you have the season pass for the DLC's. These should bring in extra cashflow so you got people playing. Then when people are playing, you got the fluff ingame in the cashshop to make an extra buck.

Somewhere in that process they are messing up. Imho they fail in the DLC and in the fluff. DLC's are too thin and fluff is too expensive. Would I pay an extra $2,50 for a map improvement? No. While other games I've spend the same amount on, do give me the feeling I got my money's worth, Defiance gives me a feeling im still waiting (mind you, I got a season pass).

Seems to me we are still paying to improve the base game. That's not added content.

The biggest problem is their "fluff" is priced "competitively".
But if you look at the competition that has similar prices, it's either F2P games, or games that actually offer real customization options (such as dyes and costumes) on top of the premium outfits.

I know of no other B2P game that charges 5 dollars for an uncustomizable head piece that is just a recolor of an existing skin.

The fact that they still claim this pricing structure is "competitive" proves they either have a horrible marketing team or none at all.

How about since in the end Trion needs to make that money well for some fast cash I would pay $2.50 or so to have it when volge swarm drop or become available like say a blinking light on my map or pop up tells me "hey the volge are on their way or have dropped" would be really cool and in the end Trion need to make that money so my ? to you all is would you pay a buck or two for this feature because I sure would how about you?

I would leave in a heartbeat. Once you have to pay in-game for access, I'll be uninstalling the game. It ruins immersion and has a negative impact on design decisions. What will be next? $0.10 per emergency?

If Trion needs money, they can start by making a game, that can be recommended. Then they can take a long, hard look at the way they set their store up, because that also has a hell of a lot of room for improvement.

As someone told me Trion need to pay their electricity bill just like us so they need to make that money. What would make you spend more on in-game items???
