The constant disconnections are making this game unplayable for me. I went to play on Friday for the first time in about a week and couldn't even get the game to connect. Now today I can't play as I'm being disconnected every 2-3 minutes.
****ing joke of a game.

Have you try all the troubleshoot suggestions few things on your end to do/check there is. I was told of them and did all of them and it is now hard to say if that what I did on my end made things better or if it Trion getting things working better now. I was getting 10-20 Das Boots or so and 7-13 or so system locks PER DAY but now is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooo much better I like can shed tears of joy!!
Thanks for the advice but this IS trions problem. The amount of people who suffer from the same problem would suggest this. That we do not have this problem with any other game or online service (streaming HD movies etc) would suggest this. The mere fact that trion admits in patch notes to trying to "improve server stability" would also suggest the problem is server side.
I could put up with all the other issues this game has knowing that in time (soon) they will be fixed, but how can I continue when the game is so unstable I cant even play it?

For so many people to have the exact same disconnection problems that they dont have with any other game or internet service tells me its Trions problem.
We dont get these problems with other games. We dont get these problems when streaming HD movies etc. Speed tests do not show up any problems. Trions own patch notes admit that there are stability problems. Trion stop ****ing about with UI and weapon nerfs and fix the ****ing stability problems first and foremost!

i'm fed up with the server disconnects too... which is too bad I love the premise of the game but the disconnects suck monkey arse.
I guess Defiance likes me now cause it is running so smoother now on my end
Been away for a couple of weeks, come back to see the same server problems still going on. Amazing.
I have only had problems with crital errors at arkfalls/ sieges or in pvp. Still unacceptable.

It is suggestive and I wouldn't say you're wrong. I don't know what the cause is. But I know that the cause can sometimes be exotic. It can also be extremely frustrating when tech support or other forum posters just blame you or your connection.
Do you or have you had McAfee installed on a PC running on the same network that you play on? I will spare you my own tale but McAfee, even turned off or uninstalled, can cause selective disconnection problems with some programs and sometimes only under certain conditions. Defiance is one of them.
