Do you or have you had McAfee installed on a PC running on the same network that you play on? I will spare you my own tale but McAfee, even turned off or uninstalled, can cause selective disconnection problems with some programs and sometimes only under certain conditions. Defiance is one of them.
I used to have that problem with Norton when I'd play certain games on a comp with Norton's on it. It's weird what antivirus and spyware removal programs can screw with.

Ah. Well. I know nothing about Macs other than they look pretty. So I'm of no use to you

My point anyway was that it may not be the server. I was dead certain it was for another game because it was the only game I had this problem with (before Defiance) and there's a huge number of players experiencing the same problem and getting the same frustrating run-around from that game's tech support blaming everyone's ISP. Which it definitely isn't.

The culprit (for me at least) turned out to be McAfee, or a remnant thereof. Though it's not a problem for all games or all computers so it may be some as yet unexplained interaction between the three which is why no-one could diagnose it.

Though it could also be the server. Whatever the cause, I hope it stops plaguing you soon.

Decided to play again today and getting the exact same thing. I've been DC'd about 8-10 times in a few hours. Twice from the same arkfall and one time when I was just looking through my inventory.

I also seem to get DC'd nearly every time I fast travel to The Crater. Happens about 9 times out of 10.

In the last 30 minutes the siege at north point stuck at stage 5, I then got DC'd twice from the same minor arkfall and now I've just been DC'd from a major arkfall

I'll check back in a couple of weeks to see if they have finally fixed this. I seem to waste too much time trying to complete arkfalls and not getting any loot or exp at the end. I think the longest I've been able to stay connected is a little over an hour and a half and that was just shooting raiders in Kenn's to get the 5k sniper pursuit. First arkfall after that, BOOM, disconnected. Their servers can't handle the load IMO. They bit off more than they can chew, can't fix it and won't own up to it.

FWIW, the game was playing just fine on the NA/360 servers pretty much all night yesterday. Not blaming anyone's internet because I've had more than my fair share of that response from forumites back in DCUO's early times. I'm leaning more towards that RAM-less monstrosity commonly refered to as the PS3.

I mean, I love me some PS3 gaming and all... I'm just saying...

If you on Ps3 there are some things to try on your end. Lets just say I was having around 15-25 disconnects a day with about 7-13 system locks and some other odd system freezes and auto resets but my system and game is running better now

I not sure if what I did or it on Trion working on the servers why it working SOOOOO well for me now
