    I want a weapon between a VBI AR and and a VOT Pulser

    Yep, I am a SciFi geek. I'd like to see a weapon in this game that is somewhere between a VBI full auto assault rifle and a VOT Pulser sub machine gun. Something like, oh I don't know, a P90 like in Stargate SG1. :P
    I think there's room for a compact AR/smg weapon like that. Maybe have damage around 215, firing rate around 13.5, reload around 1.4. I have been playing this game since early May and I have just come to the conclusion that my 'unicorn' weapon is not yet in this game. Developers? I WANT A P90!!

    Sounds like a lmg Thunder, stats are close to what you described, reload is a lot higher though.

    VBI SMG is the closest thing you will get to a P90. Aim accuracy like the Assault rifle at the expense of hip fire and reload/rate of fire like the Vot pulser.

    My weapon of choice for close quarter combat with Volge was a Syphon VOT Blast Rifle with a 1.5 mag and a blue crit barrel. When they nerfed the proc it became a mostly useless pop-gun that took too long to reload for the paltry base damage it did most of the rest of the time.

    The Mazu is OK except for the small mag/medium-low damage it does.

    One serious problem I see is that hip-fire and aimed-damage are two extremes with no middle ground. Aimed (especially with the ridiculous blind spot around a scope and way too slow motion) leaves you open to damage while moving at a crawl. and hip-fire is akin to shooting a snub-nosed pistol - 3 consecutive shots can miss the target by going wide-left, wide-right, and over-head. Combine that with a smaller mag weapon that does low damage and your only 3 choices are:

    1.) Point blank at a low damage skit, and hope it doesn't move.
    2.) Point blank at a large target that you can hit while staying mobile, and doing little damage.
    3.) Aimed damage at a target that is going to eat your slow/blind self for lunch 'cuz you aren't doing much damage, have few rounds, and you can't see the other targets swarming you.

    As a shooter IRL, I can shoulder-fire an AR weapon without actually 'AIMING as required in the game' and hit close enough to center of mass with the majority of a rapid fire mag without leaving that cartoon silhouette of the target and no actual hits on the Badguy.

    It's clearly not an option to shoot hipfire with the majority of the weapons that don't have guidedmissle-syn at most of the targets/badguys in the game. The Blast Rifle and Mazu ought to be the easy mid-range choice here, but they just aint it, here, for me.

    So, many use the Tachmag or Pulsar, and since they're so popular they must be close to the top of the 'nerf soon' list by now.

    <See sig....>
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
    Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
    I do not trust those people.

    NA/pc.
