Countdown Timers and Alert Notifications for Arkfalls and Sieges (with pics!)

This was originally a response that I posted on this thread but I wanted to give my take on the UI changes it's own discussion.

Adding countdowns and notifications for events like Arkfalls and Sieges would be a great addition. Personally I think this could be accomplished in two ways:

• Add a countdown for Arkfalls and Sieges to the legend when you bring up the map. It could look something like this:

• Allow players to receive notifications in the chat window then an event pops. Players could choose which events they wanted notifications for: Minor Arkfalls, Major Arkfalls, Sieges, Shadow War, and it could look something like this:

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate hearing what people think of my ideas. I'm not sure if you know this or not but Trion uses a Google Mod Official Suggestion List where users can actually vote on individual suggestions. Great idea!

So sick of watching the map and having nothing happen, going and doing a mission, and popping open the map to see sieges with 2 minutes left.

Nice idea to have the timer until next event on the map. Instead of a chat warning, why not have EGO announce it? The chat is such crap, I never even look at it.
