    ......and? still not that great.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

The fire rate and nano proc chance is pretty great. I tear through just about everything with my blast rifles

It feels and plays way better than it should on paper imo.

I tend to use the 1.5 mag and a 1.15 crit barrel.
The 'damage' is so low that 1.07 isn't as much of a damage boost as the 1.15 crit boost is, and much of the damage is from the proc.

But it was a Volge eating beast before the proc nerf.

I'm mastering up a few of the syphons I still have left at Darkfalls. I miss the old VOT Blast Rifle.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

    NA/pc.

Mid E-5XXX main, but I played 26+ 'toons from E400 to E5500. (Dormant)

I miss all the pre nerf weapons.

The problem with the blast rifle is it suffers from the proc rate nerf we received in DLC1. There were a bunch of fast firing weapons that took huge DPS hits when they invoked that nerf.

If you like the Blast Rifle you should try a Mazu; it's superior in virtually every way. It's like a long range VBI SMG.
