I was holding off on posting about Sweetfx anymore until the first week after launch but seeing as some people were anxious to jump the gun I'll post as of now.

This is my sweetfx boost i wrote it last night after launch if you want to be blown away feel free to use my custom HD preset.

I wrote this preset due to liking the game enough that i felt it worth my time to give back to those who also wanted the most out of their game experience.

Hope everyone loves the boost as much as i do.

The install directory for Sweetfx is C:/users/username/Appdata/Local/Defiance/Live

Or wherever you installed the game in the live folder in its install directory.

sweetfx must be in the live folder for defiance to interact with Directx when in game.

also the preset must be named "SweetFX_settings" and the toggle for in game should be SCROLL_LOCK.

Lastly to clarify sweetfx does not add textures it just boosts effects in directx to enhance whats already there so no this does not modify any game client files or give any ingame advantage other than eyecandy.. and the inherent "WOW" factor and occasional ****** for those who love higher graphics...

What version of sweetfx do you use for launch and does it work for steam users/Radeon users? FYI for steam users there is no Appdata/locallow.defiance/live folder.

For steam users games install to your steam install directory C:/programfilesx86/steam/steamapps/common

So you need to go there to find your defiance install folder. I'm currently running sweetfx 1.4 with my Defiance HD preset.

Ok one more question i know to install sweetfx you just copy past the zip to the live folder but how do you install your preset or get your preset to work so to say. Im new to sweetfx so not sure what to do other than copy past the sweetfx to live what would i do with you're preset file?

Like when you say "also the preset must be named "SweetFX_settings" were do you do that in your file? Basicly how do you get it to recognize the defiance preset. And do you just put your preset file in the presets folder? When you mean the preset must be named "SweetFX_settings" do you mean your file thats named SweetFX_Settings_Defiance_Defiance HD to rename it to "SweetFX_settings"?

Unzip the zip file take all the contents drop them into the Live folder in the defiance install directory then download my preset here.http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/285/ Or my new HD boosted one here http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/303/

Rename my preset text "SweetFX_settings" and paste into the live folder aswell overwrite the "SweetFX_settings" already in there with my preset one. Play the game.

SCROLL_LOCK will toggle it on and off in game if you wish to see the difference the game will launch with it on by default if all files are in the right places. You will know immediately if its on the difference is huge.

WOW ya man BIG improvement may need to up the gamma a bit but other than that its 100% better than what it was thnx alot not it seems actually playable lol. Its like a Night and Day Difference.

Thank you getting it looking that good took some work, I'm glad you like it i run my gamma at about 4 bars i find it looks just right for me at about that.
