Your settings made the game look much better. Almost gave it a Rage look, which is a good thing in my book.

Too bad servers just went down so I could enjoy it more...

I can't seem to get SweetFX to work with my copy of Defiance. I put the rar'ed files into my Defiance/Live folder and when I hit 'Play" in the patcher, the Defiance window opens for a few seconds and then closes.

If I manually remove the SweetFX folder and files in the Defiance/Live folder, the game will launch fine.

Any ideas?

Yeah, just tried that. Didn't seem to help, unfortunately.

For starters read my posts on page 3 you have to take the contents of the rar file and drop them in the live folder in the defiance install folder. Then download my preset and rename it "SweetFX_settings" then paste that into the live folder as well and overwrite the default one that comes in the rar with my new preset.

Game should run fine then.

If you forget to rename the preset before pasting it then it may be trying to inject Directx with an invalid setting and thus closes the program.
