Gamma resets, along with other settings, including resolution and key mappings regardless if you hit apply or not, the settings aren't staying saved. Just opening the menu will reset it, minimizing will reset it, hell just randomly changing zones has reset it.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Sounds like a bug your experiencing with the menus but not one caused by Sweetfx.

I run the game in eyefinity on 3 24" monitors turned on their side with a resolution of 3560x1920 and the settings work in game for me and stick when applied.

I was hoping I could get a thread stickied about this when I made one.

sorry about that, after using sweetfx for alpha/beta for so long I kinda panicked when I couldn't get it working.

The devs should just include sweetfx in the game and make its settings adjustable in game since they have none ^^

Yesterday I've contacted Trion support regarding the usage of SweetFX, this is their reaction.

[04:46:22 PM] Me : I've got a question regarding the usage of SweetFX with Defiance.
[04:46:29 PM] Me : Simple question, is it allowed to use ?

Well, he has to say that... it's unlikely anyone would get banned.

The larger issue is that once TRION catches on, they'll find a way to disable it's use, and then it's a moot point.

So people coming here to act like they're being altruistic and helping to spread the joy(when really they're just showing off or seeking attention), are actually doing us a disservice.

I can appreciate people are using it to tone down the bleach or haze fog effect that muddles the image at times. However a simple reduction of in-game gamma will do that.

I haven't found a need to adjust color temperature or color palette as the game's standard is quiet efficient.
With this product I only use the FX for antialiasing and increased image clarity/sharpening.

What I find curious is why so many people are not using the 'FXAA tool' gui, which lets you adjust and save on the fly as opposed to editing a txt/data file back and forth.

This is a quick and dirty test of SweetFX being used in Defiance and a sample of the graphical changes and the impact on the GPU seeing as its an injector which are usually CPU hogs.

I hope they don't start banning for it, not sure if I could continue playing the game with the regular graphics now that I've used SweetFX.

Can I boost my graphic even more with some other programs? Especially anti-aliasing, because I guess there's no chance for better drawing distance without developer's work

Gotta love ambiguous statements. Guess they'll start banning for fraps, the steam overlay, skype, vent, catalyst control center and the nvidia control panel.
