lol I think ill actually play the game now.... Well i beat story and whatnot but been so busy and spending my gaming time writing presets seems like time to enjoy them more in game.. Woo off to lev my ego.... O_o that sounds like it could be misconstrued anyway back to defiance!

As I like a more natural, grittier look and there always seems to be a red tint, I reduced color vibrance a bit and adjusted red gamma to take care of things. I also adjusted the in-game gamma slider to what it says on the screen there, down until the symbols aren't visible anymore, then up a notch.

Upper picture is with SweetFX enabled, lower one has it disabled.

Lassie that's usually my taste too i like the bf3 or arma gritty real look a lot. My current preset HD Boosted is way color full feels almost borderlandsy but way more detailed. I will look at your settings and see if i can integrate a grittier version of mine for those who want it. I like what i see in that screenshot tho ill definitely play with it..

So as of now Trion is cool with us using SweetFX, right? I know someone posted a link to an interview, but has anything been said post release in this thread or otherwise?
Still waiting on an official post however if they were concerned with this program as a hack that impeded the TOS i doubt the thread would be here still. Also as the program does nothing but allow pc gamers to get the graphics detail they enjoy it takes a load off the developers to allow it anyway.

I highly doubt we would see a mass ban for something that's not doing anything but improving user enjoyment of their product and not harming others. Have you guys considered calibrating your monitors, or rather that there probably aren't more than a handful of users on these forums who have? Point is that all screenshots we post are likely to look somewhat to totally different on another person's system.

for Trion they didn't ban anybody on Rift, it's just post processing if someone is invisible it still will be invisible

I agree Ninja but some people are afraid of a ban and would like an official post even as simple as a post from a DEV or CM saying your clear to use Sweetfx. So it is what it is. I feel what I'm doing is right and helps people get more from their game experience, and I'm happy about that. I stand firm in my no cheat or hack stance for players who want an advantage as well. however to put peoples fears to rest about wanting better graphics a post would be nice.

For all those with different preferences.
Anyone who has an early copy of my grittier preset re download it if it causes a crash at launch had to edit it to fix sweetfx crashing it should be good to go now.
Ninja which preset did you like more if its the HD Boosted before i lightened it up i can add that preset to the database again and put the lighter update separate for those who want it lighter. Heck i can do that anyway but it will take a bit. working on getting all 4 presets up with screens.
