You broke the rules, or your friend did - whatever. I've heard this a million times when people get banned/suspended in an online game. It's always the same story. "I didn't do anything... my friend did when I wasn't looking... all I have is this completely shady, but technically "legal", alteration of some of the game files..."

That being said - I've never heard of someone being banned from a game... just because. Give me an incident where this happened, and I promise you, with all truth known... someone isn't being completely honest.

Look, I'm not trying to scratch you, dude. I just don't fall for the typical BS, no matter how "legal" you make it sound. Bottom line - somewhere inside the TRION/DEFIANCE folders on your Hard Drive - you changed stuff when you were not authorized to change it. Or... well... your friend did... when you weren't looking.

In either event... this whole mess really is that simple, and you're making them out to be some sort of badguy? How?

Nothing personal, Myrken, but I just don’t believe you. Everytime we talk about you using a third party program OTHER then SweetFX you go on a tantrum, calling people names and then change the subject to either Trion’s TOS or SweetFX itself. If that isn’t the hallmarks of a liar, civilization has failed! I also like that, eventhough you blame SweetFX, you’re still defending it! It’s obvious from your first banned posts that you were looking for a scapegoat, firstly blaming it on SweetFX and suddenly on your mysterious “friend”. If my friend banned me on a game I liked to play, I wouldn’t call him a “friend” anymore, would I?

Looks like i will be leaving this game After receiving i wont say terrible even tho i felt it was because i could have been perma banned, GM support and a ban due to an undisclosed third party program they cant speak of. I then read their entire EULA which is far worse and Obscene than Origins by EA. Apparently everything is bannable and if it isn't it is after putting so much work into this game to help with the graphics then being crapped on by a company who claims to support its community I sadly must walk away. If you use Sweetfx you do so at your own risk I wish This company wasn't going the direction it is but, sadly their wallets aren't hurting enough to go back to paying real attention to their players. My presets work in other games too so remove it from use here if concerned and feel free to use them elsewhere the company appreciates its members hard work and enthusiasm.

Apparently user add ons only pertain to Rift in the EULA even though its legal implications would appear otherwise do to it not being specific.

If you didn’t blame SweetFX, why say we should use it on our own risk? It can’t be SweetFX cause guess what. I’ve been using it since the first beta phase. I’ve been using SweetFX on almost all games I can make it work with and I have yet to be banned from any of them. I’m also liking the fact that you, miraculously, are STILL the ONLY victim from it. And then suddenly this post shows up...

I’m sorry Myrken, but I have heard this story a thousand times over. “Oh, my friend used my computer without my permission to play some Defiance while I wasn’t looking.”, first of all, how did your friend get on the game? Another unlikely story you might want to indulge the community with? “Oh, I was just going to the john while leaving my Defiance game open.”? Trion is not going to ban you for the 2 minutes your friend was on the game. What did your friend do? Did he Alt-TAB and download an aimbot while you were away? Did he download Cheat Engine while you weren’t looking? Or maybe he was the one who installed SweetFX?

If he did something wrong, there should be evidence, right? Even IF your friend deleted his evidence afterwards, and here is the cool part about Windows PC’s, you can retrieve lost or corrupted data if your good enough with DOS.

Unless you can provide us with HARD evidence and not another unlikely story, I’m sorry, Myrken, but I cannot give you the benefit of the doubt cause I've heard the "my friend/brother/collegue" BS a thousand times over. Stop blaming someone (or something) else and take some g0dd@mn responsibility!

I have to agree with ninja on this as before games used fxaa you could only get it with an injector because companies for a long time wouldn't add it to games. Now the irony is its standard and they refuse to use smaa which now is added with sweetfx. In the coming years it will become a standard as well in the gaming industry. However until then gaming companies are making the same mistakes as with fxaa and fxaa injectors, and instead of adding it to most games as it should be they fight against it. Even though in the next 3-4 years it will be standard in most games.

Doesn't surprise me and shouldn't anyone else that Crytek had a hand in assisting with sweetfx for smaa those guys are on the leading edge of the graphics industry. Look how long it took other companies to catch up with Crysis 1 if you can even claim they have yet. Now what was used to make that game so awesome and detailed, are the industry standard where as back then they were far ahead of what anyone else was doing.

Point is why companies shoot down programs such as this when in the near future, it will be what their expected to do to every game they make is ridiculous in itself.

Maybe you need to learn to read as well before posting, I took responsibility for the ban as in the TOS it was done during the operation of my account doesn't matter who did it. So i could care less what you believe. As for other third part programs i haven't bashed anyone using a different program you running an OS? or anything other than Defiance? How dare you! Seriously my previous post goes for you well.

However i was looking in my programs afterwards and guess what cheat engine was on my pc. I don't use cheat engine
so i grabbed my buddy and he admitted to using it while i was downstairs using the bathroom and packing up the bow flex. I don't know if he used it on Defiance or another game as GMs at Trion scan your pc for all running processes and could simply ban you for running it.

Want my blood type too? Maybe how many wipes i had to take after crapping downstairs that night also?

only the games using game guard can ban you for it and most of the time they just kick you w/o ban

you are free to use it or not, but for now i would like to see only presets, screenshots and technical support here

I was going to break down my entire response to your previous post. Which was a direct attack as stating nothing personal means nothing, if everything you write after is finger pointing and accusatory. Ive given all the answers you need in my posts today if you fail to properly interpret them that's not my problem. Go back reread it and ill give you a hint to one of your questions "howed it got on your pc?" answer " However i was looking in my programs afterwards and guess what cheat engine was on my pc. I don't use cheat engine" would imply it was installed by someone other than myself. I'm sure you can figure the rest out. BTW I'm unbanned as it wasn't a perma ban as also stated in more than one of my posts. So logic would dictate as well that making myself look good would do nothing anyway. Then again logic would have to exist to dictate anything in this case it seems. Most people don't take my word as Gospel because they can read "bettererer" than some it seems.

an other thing to add, it will be stupid to ban sweetfx users, because it help peoples with eyes problem, like astigmatism (like me ), color blinds, photosensitive (like me too ;; )
i can enjoy game without having to stress my eyes
