Huh, the 7 page discussion thread about the use of SweetFX possibly leading to a ban has somehow vanished from the forums. Have we had any official word about it since?

Yes that thread was removed and I apologise for posting it, I did not read the rules.

I would very strongly advise against the use of SweetFX or RadeonPro.

Whys that almost all overlays hook into directx so to ban sweetfx for doing so would be saying all other overlays that do so should be bannable that wouldn't make sense. Also if Trion was adamant about banning sweetfx it wouldn't make sense to move it to a support thread? Where people who wish to use it can get the help they may need in doing so better?

Wouldn't make much sense to me, but no ones forcing you to use it so feel free not to if it bothers you.

As for banning it I'm sure they would rather make an announcement, before doing something of that nature due to the sheer amount of players enjoying their game with it. Not to would be bad business and upset many players that would feel wronged by an unannounced mass bannable offense.

However it states they don't have to make an announcement but i believe Trion is smarter than that. Which personally is why i believe they haven't shut down this thread and i appreciate them moving it to a place where it serves its purpose better.

They also can keep a closer eye on it here than in the general forums which is nice too.

I simply drastically changed my screens contrast, brightness, saturation.... and other and now the game looks amazing even without sweetFX.

That's an alternative but a real pain if you have 500 games on your pc and 3 monitors like me lol. It also doesn't add the sharpening and smaa amongst other effects but it may work for some.

I don't really know how to answer that. First I'd have to explain to you how SweetFX manages to do what it does, but since you've opted for the childish approach, I'll desist as I'd be wasting even more of my time.

Your inability to understand what you're even talking about, and then attempting to insult me under the table like I don't know any better, is childish. A child hides from their own misbehavior. I'm not hiding from yours. And while you and I sort this out - I have done nothing wrong while in this thread except explain why what you're doing is wrong, even when you insist it isn't, and then scratch your head about being banned.

You can't install files from a game onto your harddrive and start messing around with them when the people who gave you the files said you couldn't, and you even signed a EU agreeing to these terms. You don't rent a car for a weekend vacation, but then take it to a garage to have it painted a different color.

You don't get to do whatever you want, even in your own house, regardless of how innocent you think it is, and expect people who do not agree with you to not pack up their own $hit and leave.

I left for like 40 min to go buy food and already had to tell people to stay on topic yikes.

However i will have to agree with blackwolfe and as far as wearing a dress goes if she looks better in it than when she showed up in rags then yea why not. O_o/ so there goes that analogy.
