Not really as it adds more effects or adjusts them over what your settings are in game. However you could lower the settings in game and use sweetfx to help compensate for how bad it would look to get better performance.Originally Posted by Sithis

I've had SweetFX running on my Defiance for almost 4 or 5 days now. There is such an outstanding difference between the normal game graphics and the SweetFX effects that i don't know how the heck i played this game without it lol Running mine off of steam, had a bit of problems at first only to find out i didn't update my direct x to the newest :P DERP!
Yeah no problem at all here...still running it.
All my presets have now been updated to support 1.4 and 1.5 sweetfx 1.5 wont be out for awhile but now my updated presets will work with both.

your driver software should have options to manually turn it down instead of using game settings.
Okay, so that other thread was closed, but there still hasn't been an official answer...has there?
Been running it since launch. Not even a warning yet.
Why would they ban us for using something that makes their game look better?
I download it but i dont know how to open it. It gives me options from internet explorer, notepad, wordpad and so on but i dont know which one to put to open it. I'm using windows 8 and an AMD cwrd.
