Discussing bans on the forums is against the CoC. THAT'S probably why that thread was removed. NOT because it was about SweetFX? This thread we are in right now is about SweetFX and hasn't been closed or removed.

Careful now, a Guildmate "Got a 24hr ban for using a 3rd party program giving an unfair advantage." The only thing he was using was SweetFX 8-(
Well it doesn't give unfair advantage so something else might have been responsible for that ban. As was the case with myself from experience. Remember they can scan all actively running processes when playing Defiance, and even if you use a tool like cheat engine for something like skyrim and have defiance minimized it could account for a ban. So we will see they would have removed this thread if they had intent to ban people for it and not moved it to tech support.Thank you for the information Snuffsaid we will see. This move to a new location is a big step up for them to then start banning people over it wouldn't make sense. Also as of now only 2 people that i know of have had bans using sweetfx and mine personally rules out sweetfx, so that just leaves your guildmate i know of out of the thousands using it in game already. Gives me the feeling something else was going on in that case maybe as well.
Time will tell threads still up and now in a better location to help people so things are looking up.

Frankly I don't believe reports from strangers.
a) It is human nature trying to appear better than how we really are. There might have been another tool involved, there might not have been. We do not know, and we cannot go back in time and to your guild mate's place to check for ourselves.
b) It appears Trion isn't giving much info when suspending or banning accounts, so we do not know the real reason why they deemed it necessary to do so.
