PVP is a part of this game and you know, like the PVE, it can become a stale grind, so nice try.

I'm not sure what your point is here. PvP is a small part of the game by design. Less than 200 Ego points come specifically from PvP pursuits. His point and my point is that PvP in an MMORPG like Defiance where the overwhelming majority of the content is PvE isn't what makes or breaks the attraction of new players to the game. That's not a nice try. It's an observation of fact. The poster who claimed otherwise is simply flat out wrong.

I can't stand Microsoft, and that extends to the 360. Their slash-and-burn business practices in an attempt to gain an absolute monopoly were bad enough. But their attempts to re-write the concept of ownership itself, in addition to turning the consumer of their products into products as well, has become intolerable to me personally. Minor back-peddling means nothing.

Yes, all corporation are to some degree exploitive or 'evil', I'm a 'hypocrite', blah blah blah, and whatever else any angry Xbox fanboy wants to bleat, fine. But there are some specific actions that I cannot abide.

Thanks Deunan. Can't agree more. Most who want PVP specific are playing those military games or theft/robbery games, anyway.

There are more vet players in game than you either realize or want to admit. Most just don't do the forum thing. The game is PVE. It was ALWAYS advertised as PvE. There is a tiny bit of PvP to give those who want it, an occasional break from PvE. The PvP is and always has been a joke anyways, with all the grasshoppers and exploiters. If you don't beleive that then there are a few forumites that you need to talk to. Nefarious can show you all his threads about making use of exploits, or you can check out Notturno's threads about all that is wrong or unbalanced in PvP and has been since alpha/beta testing. He has made some suggestions to fix it, as well as how to best make use of being a grasshopper.

I heard they have even said crap they back-pedaled on, like "kinect always has to be on", will be re-implemented down the road. Being MS, I can believe it.

After the "big reveal", my son went into his "standup comic" mode and proceeded with a monologue of a user and his Xbone:

This was kind of cool. I ran into a 47th Legion event. Of course almost all of them look like "General Steve"

I couldn't believe that aspect when I read about it...a developer essentially hinted something to the effect of, 'the console will know if you aren't giving it your full attention, and will react accordingly'. When combined with the information strip-mining it will eventually be conducting on its users for ad revenue purposes, my head just about explodes with a thousand different deeply-disturbing problems that entails.

i don't think you have to worry about destiny killing defiance, its doing a good enough job killing it self.

they seem to have lost atleast 75% of the players already since they can not seem to fix anything, only cause more problems with each update. and the fact that they are taking for ever to release dlc content, and even when they do release new content it is no were near worth the price they are changing for it since the content is way too short or boring to do more than the 1 time.
