If I had a nickel for every time someone (often NOT a new player) activates the freaking spike while the Monolith is nowhere to be seen, why I'd have enough money to start up the US government. Guys, if you're that afraid of the Dark Matter ground troops, I recommend hiding behind someone like me who will protect you. Or, learn how to use your weapons, maybe? It's getting past the point of laughing at the foolishness. It's just pointless and a waste. Come on, the ground troops aren't scary lol
Oh, I know this feel. You have no idea what Ive seen. Players will always waste them. And their is no amount of effort they wont put forth to do just that.

I've given up on getting green stuff for the Mechanized Hunter battle. Now I take my favorite sniper rifle, find a ridge to setup camp, and concentrate my fire on the hunters crit spots when they are vulnerable.
Came out top of the leader board yesterday without the green stuff, and the only running around I had to do was for ammo.

like amsterdam it would create more drug addicts, and more crime, and even worse, more welfare cases.
snipe from next to the ammo box, then you dont have to run around at all.
I usually do, but I've run into issues with all the foot traffic causing lag outs.
I'm actually glad I found your post because I had no idea what it was for (it's that thing that makes you green and boosts you, right?), I was just looking for some tips on weapons to use for this boss 0_o
When you do WM people are always being very aggressive in the chat when someone breaks it free to early, fail to extract when they fall or use bad weapons, but I've never seen anything mentioned in the chat when doing the Mechanized Hunter.

They are used to boost your damage, damage resistance and movement speed. Use them as needed. If there are several dozens of players then there isn't really a need to use them to take out the Dark Matter troopers because their numbers and health don't scale high enough for them to present a challenge to the group as a whole at any point at the Mechanized Hunter Arkfall. If there are 2 dozen players or less then using them to dispense with the troopers is part of the strategy.
