there are no AR synergy converter mods... they have not been around since they got rid of the mod cache and brought in the mod hoard.. the shotgun mods with synergy ARE in the vendor.. just not the AR or Sniper or Pistol... I think they may have gotten rid of them in prep for the new weapons having limited nano rolls... so the ones out there.. atl least at the moment until they hopefully get returned... are very rare and sought after

Again, you are wrong. Any rare weapon with a nano roll under the new system will have both a nano effect and a rare bonus. This would simply do the same thing for old weapons.

That is my point. A new weapon does not have to give up its rare bonus just because it was randomly awarded a nano effect. The old weapon already had a nano effect awarded through a random process. This would restore the bonus it would have if it dropped today instead of pre-patch.

It's understandable why you would want preferential treatment but that's not the objective way to make the new weapons bonus system retroactive on old weapons.
I see you deleted the part of my quote where I qualified that with "even if you were correct", which you weren't. The old weapons ALREADY rolled for and received a nano effect through a random process. It is patently unfair to suggest that veteran players should have to earn them twice to keep them.

Today was the first time I logged in since the Nuke-Poop on Loyal Veteran Player's Inventories Patch and I opened about 25 T4 boxes.

No oranges, but that's the RNG a s s hole, I get that.

What I did notice is the surprising lack of nanos on almost all of the items I did get. I'm ego 3900ish. This did not encourage me to want to keep playing.

I'm finding it hard to take you seriously. It's only been a day. It's always been uncommon if not rare for me to find a blue synergy mod at mod vendors other than the shotgun vendor at Bug 'n' Chug let alone a synergy converter. If you're really concerned then send a message to Trion support or make a post here asking if there was an intentional removal of synergy converters. Crying wolf in all caps here isn't a particularly constructive way to address the possibility that this may have actually been implemented as part of the patch.

CRY WOLF IN ALL CAPS!!!! has actually turned out to be a very informative thread so people can take there own opinion from it.. I think I have done something very constructive.. what isn't constructive has been your lack of patience for people trying to figure things out or asking questions.. pls refrain from the negativity
And thank you everyone for your thoughts and input... this thread has been noticed and that has been the point of it... to have maybe someone within take notice and address this again for the community in detail so there will no longer be these kind of unanswered questions

I'm not wrong. If you'd actually paid attention to what was being observed in this thread, rare weapons do not automatically have a nano effect. You can falsely claim to the contrary as often as you like but it's a matter of irrefutable fact as I and others have gotten rare weapons without nano effects. Others have posted that they have gotten epic and legendaries without nano effects as well.

It's clearly not the same process regardless of whether you would prefer to pretend it's otherwise. While we're still gathering data points, players are already observing a significant decrease in the frequency of nano effects not only on rare but epic and legendary weapons as well. It's also implied by Trion's statement that the likelihood is significantly less. Pre-patch I almost never got rare or higher drops without at least either an ammo or melee nano effect. That's clearly no longer the case.

There's nothing patently unfair about having to work under the exact same framework for updated weapon generation mechanics if one wants to have them retroactively applied to old weapons. Wanting to have your cake and eat it too doesn't change that fact.

Ah, I see what you mean. Thanks. I can see this being a real PITA.

Though if I ever get a weapon that I'd have to waste the mag mod on a nano converter, I don't think I'd ever seriously consider keeping the weapon anyway even if it was an orange.
