    Super slow updating ):

Along with many other people it seems, my download is awfully slow .40 mb/s ):
I had thought about using a torrent to install the game and use my serial key to activate it.. Would this work?
It'd be a hell of a lot faster than the slow a***d patcher.

Nothing's wrong with the patcher... Might want to check your network... I'm downloading at 6MB/sec since the beginning.. started 15min ago, done in 6min

Nah my network is fine, Downloaded Sim City earlier at a steady 2.5MB/s (my average speed)
I'm downloading from the Europe server and live in England so it shouldn't be a problem there, and I have tried the US servers and still the same awful DL speed =/

Its just a kick in the nuts when you pre purchase a game and they can't even seem to get the patcher working for everyone ):
I understand there is prolly a huge demand on the servers but you'd think they would account for that given how many pre orders there were.

I had the same issue, turning off my firewall and disabling my anti-virus software for the download seemed to fix the issue. Not something I have to do for other downloads but in this case if helped.

Tried this but again.. No luck.. Down to .18MB/s ): I thought getting this game would as a digital download would be easier and more convenient but apparently not /:

Went to sleep with it downloading at around 3.5mb/s, woke up to .35mb/s and 4 1/2 hours left. Didn't even get halfway.

But this method helps me. My rate boost up from 0.07 to 1.54 Mb/s

Max of 0.18 MB/s so far today, about 8 hours of download. Seen many, many, many, many threads about this problem.

This is exactly the service I expect from a 50 € game.

I'm fine with paying 20€ more than others.
I'm fine with not getting as much preorder bonuses as the people paying 20€ less than me.
I'm fine with downloading the game on launch day 0.10 mb/s estimated time remaining 23 hours WH..WAIT WHAT?

Meanwhile the guys who paid 20€ less, got more preorder bonuses, and they're already playing the game while I wait for my higher price game download for two days.

Never buying anything straight off Trion -site ever again. Was big mistake. Thanks.
Next time I'll trust Steam. Atleast their internet is not based on a 56k modem.
