Yes its some kind of firewall or virus scanner that blocks the way.

But if you are using a laptop be shure that you arnt on a public network becauze your firewall only acceps home&buisniss to go trough automaticly .. if you are on a public wifi the firewall will just block the incomming data . unless you open this with in your firewall... so i hope ive helped u all a bit.

Ive found out what my problem was becauze i was downloading on the pc and everything was fine on that..
but when i was downloading on my laptop its was slow.
Now its downloading at 3.0 MB/s but its always possible that its the servers.. maybe overloading..

Its a case of overload on the download servers and Trion worlds should have anticipated this would happen and been more prepared for it.

I hear that Japan prepares for flooding but they still had some issues when they got hit with that Tsunami

All snark aside, what they should or shouldn't have done infrastructure-wise is less interesting to me than the perception of silence from them. Has there been a statement released from them regarding the slow-downs and their reasons? I'm a pretty easy-going customer and a "Hey, sorry... we got this" makes a world of difference with me.

This is exactly the service I expect from a 50 € game.

I'm fine with paying 20€ more than others.
I'm fine with not getting as much preorder bonuses as the people paying 20€ less than me.
I'm fine with downloading the game on launch day 0.10 mb/s estimated time remaining 23 hours WH..WAIT WHAT?

Meanwhile the guys who paid 20€ less, got more preorder bonuses, and they're already playing the game while I wait for my higher price game download for two days.

Never buying anything straight off Trion -site ever again. Was big mistake. Thanks.

I bought the game previously right after it came out and it patched just fine, but the servers were a mess and i could only play it about 1 out of every 4 times i tried (luckily i got the game used from Game Stop) so I returned it cause of the server issues. I waited several months and just went and re-bought it today.....and now I've got 0.08mb download speed on a 25MB allocated service. Although the game itself is great, but when Trion is having this much trouble with there servers and updates it just completely ruins this title. We want our Defiance NOW (or at least within a reasonable amount of time) SHAME ON YOU TRION FOR RELEASING A TITLE WITH THIS MANY ISSUES!!! YOU GOT THE CAPITAL FROM RELEASING THIS GAME THE WAY YOU DID, NOW INVEST IT IN FIXING THE DAMN THING!!!

OK, i retstarted the download a couple of times and finally got it up to 1.3MBs which is much better...but it doesn't change the way i feel about this....this game has been out too long to have this many problems.

After the patch you're game will have to redownload to your hard drive, and if you're lucky you can connect to the servers. for an hour i've been trying to play after updating the patch

Call me crazy, but for some reason this game and this game only vs everything else on the internet downloads at speeds I have no freaking clue how.

I get 19-21megs a second.

The max I get anywhere else is 2.5-3 megs.

Not sure why defiance gives me such good speeds if it's a port or something, I have not adjusted anything either but damn I wish I had speeds like this for everything.
