when I link my account should I receive all my ark hunters rewards straight away?

as I do not have anything like the extra inventory spaces?

No.

You have to claim then in the in-game store.

Go to the Defiance Store (Start > Hold LT > Pick the bottom option) and your stuff should be in the "Claim items" bit at the bottom left.

If its not there, log your character out, log back in and redo.
