    That's actually why I pick them off. Usually one of them drops some ammo I can use. It saves me the trip to the ammo box.

    I like mindlessly running/ATVing around during the artillery barrage and firing at the Monolith when its in the air, its boring otherwise. They should have the Monolith stomping around heading somewhere like a wandering NPC during those Arkfalls, taking damage from enemy NPCs that spawn at locations and Emergencies, and having players deal with those enemy NPCs for some damn flavor, Dark Matter can drop some dudes in if they're bored too.

    Imagine driving to the Crater and around the bend in the road comes stomping a Monolith! You hit your Roller in reverse while your partner ditches out and runs for cover, alone you high tail it to the closest concentration of enemy NPCs before the Monolith fries you. Your death will not be in vain, enjoy the party Raiders!

    You're ducked behind cover during a Volge Emergency with Elite Volge Troopers merging on your position then....FLASH-CRACK, Volge get blasted and the surviors get up, forget about you and target the Monolith. There are hoards of people and things attacking it, and occasionally fighting amongst each other, targeting motivators to slow it down, blowing out jet engines to keep it grounded, causing massive damage to its Eye directing its fire away from groups of players and all along taking fire from all kinds of Dark Matter Forces.

    You're group is blasting through Blood Gulch on ATVs with the Monolith on your tails, leading it to an ambush site. The FITZ-BOOM sound of rockets slamming into the Monolith signals the next phase, your group pulls out and around to flank the Monolith. You fire up a rock formation like its a ramp as rockets take out another motivator causing the Monolith to kneel, in flight, your group jumps off their ATVs and lands on the Monolith to attach bombs to the Tachmag Drive. Another motivator goes down, you hold your ground against Dark Matter sent to neutralize the explosives and you, players clear the area and then ****EN BLAMMO! Everything within the detonation's blast radius is instantly killed, survivors mop up Dark Matter forces and revive the fallen or go down under a barrage of Dark Matter fire power.

    I made myself sad.

    Just make the monolith fight better, it never ends up killing anyone because people just get rezzed. Needs to fight like the one guarding san Francisco or chasing you when you do the virus mission to shut down the monoliths.

    An option would be instead of doing damage to the monolith while it's in the air, shots it takes determines when it lands. Once it's at third health, it flies up, and starts raining death down.... and it doesn't come down until we shoot it down. Then, you have to avoid the artillery, the DM adds, and shoot....
