Compared to Rift this game is pretty much a cluster****, i remember Rift having a dodgy start but nowhere this bad.

Shame on me for preordering it but that's the chance you take (stares at hellbug sitting forlornly on shelf).

They ain't getting any more money from me until things get sorted out.

Great post TheeSpongeMan!! I too feel the same way. We as gamers know that most of the time when a game releases it will be riddled with many bugs that need to be ironed out and instead of just negatively posting about how Trion sucks or the Devs don't know what they are doing we need to remember it's a part of the gaming world. Does it suck...yes...Will our complaining make it get fixed faster...probably not but we still enjoy the game and try to help everyone to have a good time in the process. Yes it is frustrating but the more angry we get all it does is cause our mental health and physical health to decay so let's just kick back relax and read up on the forums during these unpredicted down times and prepare ourselves for what's to come in the new patch!

Wow do people really still write this crap? I love Defiance, it is one of the only games I can play with so many friends at once, but the truth is Trion is killing it. It only took them 5 months to admit that the DC problems that PS3 have is their problem, Communication is in and out again for clan, Clan founders cannot leave a clan, and best of all, patches almost always crash or brake something. I would not be so upset if it was not always on the PS3 this happens. But the truth is it is. Everyone is enjoying rerun content that we don’t get and I should understanding? They Bring Down the network for Defiance on a Saturday and break it and again I should understanding? Then you say that we should report the bugs, why, so they can blow off the reports like they have from day one? Trust me look at the bug report section, you will get the point. Not only all this but they have until April to put out 4 more DLC’s to keep their word of 5 DLC’s in first year. We have got one in 6 months, what is the chances of them making the deadline of 5 in first year? Good luck and stay hopeful!

Hi, this a new player to the game. I'm not here to ridicule and demand stuff like many others on this forum have.

I've done some programming myself, and I learned that I found it to be too stressful. The smallest period, a missing dash in a loop command, and it all goes to hell. Better yet, you fix one thing to have it screw up something else. The worst is fixing a problem to have it become (unbeknownst to you) conflicting with code you've yet to implement into it.

I honestly do have some fun playing online, even with a couple of the bugs. The games great, it just needs ALOT of polish. But the developers were most likely forced to have the game released before the deadline of the show being released on the Sci-Fi channel. And we all know as gamers that such a marketing campaign can only end in disaster. For some reason, corporate america has yet to figure this out.

Currently I'm sure you are all aware of the patch problem. To be more detailed, the patch seems to be caught in an endless loop before resulting in a 'Critical' patch error on the PS3. Some are pissed and complaining that it's taking all day. Sometimes, it does in fact take all day. Coding without any breaks would drive me nuts. Sometimes, I'd get back to my computer and then see the solution almost instantly after sitting back down from my lunch break.

Instead of just stating our frustration (that I most likely share with alot) we need to just calmly report the specifics of what is currently not working. I could see this game working if the developers are willing to code and fix stuff. However, I never wanted to fix a program for a person who didn't appreciate all the time I had put into it. Nobody wants to mow the next door neighbors lawn out of generosity when all he does is come knocking on your front door to complain your dog took a crap on it.

i gotta say man yeah they have problems that still need fixing but it can be fun. BUT my only problem with the game is still the fact that they havent made a proper DLC not once even with the DLC 2 thats about to be released it seems like all there doing is just throwing out stuff that they couldnt implement the first day or just random stuff that they say in there meeting like oh ark fall this ark fall that i wish they would look at other games when they release a DLC they actually add something that is going to captivate the customer and awe the costumer not have the customer play it for one day then be like well that was ok now WHAT! If they added a whole set of main missions add on's or just a lot more side missions its would make people keep wanting to play the game and they wouldnt have to have it out asap people would wait if they knew they were working on it and if they gave the customer and actual time frame of when it would be released yes i understand thats a lot of coding but in the end it would keep people here for a lot longer especially if they added another couple of islands or something new to explore and interact with.

I myself have put in 100$ into the buying of the game and the season pass and and thus far ive gotten one dlc and a 12 hour patch error ,and its been what six months this games been out? Call me demanding say im just being negative but well i really do expect better especially after six months and please understand im not angry just well let down. Also on a side note promising zombie(infected) zombie killing goodness in the patch notes and making us wait for twelve hours and then no zombie (infected) killing goodness is just plain cruel

When I started the game I couldn't understand all the hate towards Trion. I have come full circle now. They deserve every bit of of all the hate. They leave things broke for a long time and when a fix finally does get made it often makes things worse. They have lied repeatedly about the dumbest things and are shocked when we point out obvious problems in the game. (I can point out specific examples for all of this, but most of us all know them by now.) They clearly don't play the game. I don't know if they are spending all their useful efforts towards Rift or if they get treated the same way too.

The most recent issues that pushed me over are them allowing blatant exploits in PVP and calling it legit and refusing to fix our current inventory or even acknowledge that they messed up. If anyone of us were this bad at our jobs we would be fired. Is Trick to blame for all these awful decisions and problems with the game or is he just the face they put out to have a scapegoat?

I really wish this game wasn't so fun to play is what makes it worse. I am counting the days till Destiny is released.

Yeah, see. I'm in agreement here. This is crap. Each and every time they try to implement something on all consoles, that's huge, that should be fun for everyone-- PS3 gets the short end of the stick. I don't give a crap about missing dashes, or unclosed tags. It isn't THAT hard to go back through, scan, and fix these things.

Beyond that, they shouldn't even be TRYING to add any new content, or make things more enjoyable until they fix the preexisting issues that have been here since day one (and a lot of us have started playing). I'm not going to be understanding when Trion is taking a game that could be epic, and turning it into garbage you'd find out behind a grocery store. I'm not going to be understanding that, when those DLCs don't drop - or if they do, and then PS3 servers are down forever again - it's just little errors here and there. Booboos that need a band-aid. No, it doesn't work that way. Everyone else gets to enjoy the content, the game, and meanwhile the lot of us on PS3 sit here with glitches, crashes, hard locks, critical errors, floating bullcrap that you can't do anything with and thus get no rewards from. And during a boost weekend? No.. that is crap.

Be understanding. Yeah, I'm glad you're being hopeful, but if they can't fix this crap.. maybe they should scrap it before it pulls a Titanic and sinks. They've known about the memory leak. What have they done about it? Given us no ETA on a fix. ..What happen with the DLC drop? And the patch before this one? And this one? Server down time exceeding 5 hours while they sit around and give us "updates" every two hours on absolutely nothing.
