Epic Mod Hoards and Jackpot Lock Boxes!?!

It would really be a bummer if the Epic Mod Hoard boxes don't stick around....now I'm conflicted whether to buy those or the jackpot boxes...got a sick FRC Assault Carbine that I want to mod with T4s....

I'm not that impressed but I did get 2 legendary's. Since I have had only 2 since May I think it's somewhat of a success.

Yes. They scale up like the blues do compared to the greens.

Then it's a bummer. They made it abundantly clear both in the Community Blog and in Live Stream last Friday that it's part of Trion's PC Gaming Week celebration and will be gone after November 1st. That's why I'm only getting the Epic Mod Hoards. They contain limited time only content whereas the Jackpot Lock Boxes only provide content that you can get all the time.

Don't see the confusion...

Given that the blog post says the jackpot boxes are temporary and makes no mention for the mod boxes in a completely separate bullet point, it's real simple to understand why people are thinking it. Not to mention the blog post made it sound like the items were only available through the store itself and not the in game vendor. The entire blog post is worded poorly.

Terrible idea to introduce a new tier that's only temporary, you're going to accomplish two things. Pissing off people and inflating an already inflated economy. Can't even imagine how bad it's going to be on the consoles.

Seems more like wishful thinking. The blog entry is about a week long celebration. It prefaces the summaries of the bonus content for both games by saying it's for a limited time and the once again says after setting forth the Defiance content bonus that it's available until November 1st. The post did make it sound like it was only available in the store though. I got the impression from Elizabeth during the Live Stream that she rushed to get the Blog entry up (something about hoping it was clear that Epic Mod Hoards were for 4 mods of a variety that were never seen before rather than the possibility of getting 4 varieties of mods only).

Bought three Jackpot Lockboxes, got numerous blues, one purple and TWO oranges that I'm actually thinking I'll use.

(Orange) VBI TACC Autopistol (695) (I've been using the VBI HP-6 Wolfhound, love the skin, but the autopistol seems like a great upgrade.)
(Orange) FRC Rocket Pod (695) (One of my favorite weapon skins, I like the skins of most FRC weapons.)

I'll admit I hardly know what I'm doing build-wise... I just kind of do what works / what I like... >_>
