Well, I for one really enjoy this game....

Long time lurker, first time poster here. Greetings all...

I just felt it had to be said. And I know that others have said it before me, but the positivity just gets lost in all the negativity. Sure, the game could be improved - as can any game, but it's fun. Personally it's the large map (for a third person shooter) combined with PvE, dynamic events and some level of co-op that I find enjoyable. Sound/music is good and graphics are decent.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I'm constantly amazed and disappointed at the overwhelmingly negative tone of most game forums, and the constant whining, complaining and general disappointment expressed by gamers towards developers. Personally, if I enjoy a game, I play it. If I don't, I stop playing. Why rant on a forum?

I mean - these guys announce an upcoming DLC in December, and the general response is: too little too late, artwork looks like a copy/paste job from Star Wars, not excited etc. etc. The sense of entitlement is astounding. To the handful of folks who expressed enthusiasm - thank you. That was decent of you. I too look forward to what the DLC may bring.

ur both trippin. you have no idea how many people quit this game. that statement alone shows how new u are. i have been through all the patches and from when i started to now well.......its a ghost town game..all the competitive players are gone. the trade is dead compared to what it was. i know you cant understand how far its fallen cuz you have not been here from the start. i check in now n then to see if they actually did something right. retired players such as me put our time in and want to enjoy it not regrind our gear. trion is ran by morons that basically scammed their origional community. i could go on and on about their F ups. if you were here you know n if not well you know no different

Preach it! Seriously though, it's a forum, it's where everyone goes to complain about the games they will quit playing/won't play/aren't playing any more.

There are plenty of people here who do still enjoy it, they're just usually playing instead of posting. And you don't have to be new to still enjoy the game. I've been here since beta, I have a Daredevil option in my selectable titles and I still enjoy this game.

How is it that they are both "trippin" simply because they admit to enjoying the game? It's like saying people who like strawberry ice cream are crazy, or prefer cake over pie, they must insane.

Clearly you are unhappy with the game, and only proved the point the O.P. was trying to make. Take his advise and go do something else, don't waste your time on something you do not enjoy any longer.

I've been accused of being a sycophant when I write positive posts, and negative poison when I make complaints.

I think I'll just ignore both sides, and continue to be a human being. Having great fun sometimes, getting profoundly irritated other times, and posting when I feel both.

ITT we learn that instead of addressing issues, we should just walk away from them so that companies continue to make the same mistakes. So instead of actually telling the developers where they went wrong (which by the way they've openly admitted to) it's much better to just stop playing, that way the already dwindling player base is even less. Your white knighting is more detrimental than any negative feedback will ever be.

FYI, game forums are meant to be a bridge between developers and players. If you don't complain about your gripes, the developers will continue down the same path and continue to deliver sub par to mediocre games. You may be content with such things but some people actually aspire for better.

Here's the thing, if people didn't care about this game, they would do exactly what you're claiming they should do and that's just walk away. You know what that will accomplish? absolutely nothing. In fact it will actually hurt the company because they'll lose their player base and they won't know what's wrong. Think about these things the next time you decide to post a bait thread like this calling people whiners.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

What if I understand the issues, but I don't complain because I stopped caring anymore? That is where I am at right now. I have reached a point where I play the game, but the issues are now essentially numb to me.
The clock goes round and round.
    Where it goes nobody knows.
Except those few who don't try and loose.
The clock keeps ticking as fortune glooms.
Fore those who are loose with what they choose.
The clock keeps ticking over those bafoons while the watchful eye always looms.
