Developers should be very scared of players with this numb attitude towards the game because that means they won't be players much longer and there isn't a voice of reason to steer them in the right direction. -

Myself as an example, I'm almost at that numb point but when they brought in the new mod hoards I was kind of excited and then the mention of bringing back plague sieges was cool. But then I learn that the mod hoards are temporary content and I am just astonished that they would add a new tier and make it temporary. It screams of "We're just doing this because we want people to spend money on bits"

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

I know. I have already kinda decided which game I want to go to next once I pay some stuff off. I am tired of the hamster wheel of rng. The mod hoards kinda pushed me over the edge because my luck is very bad. I see no point to it.
The clock goes round and round.
    Where it goes nobody knows.
Except those few who don't try and loose.
The clock keeps ticking as fortune glooms.
Fore those who are loose with what they choose.
The clock keeps ticking over those bafoons while the watchful eye always looms.

    And I love the game.

Yes, the forums drip with venom. Constructive criticism is one thing, and I respect those that provide with bug reports and good ideas, but there's so much trolling and bashing Trion it's a wonder the devs still bother reading the forums.

I'm a daredevil so I'm not by any mean a new player, and I enjoyed the game then, and I still do now. Yes, the game lost players and the updates are slow to my taste, but there's still a decent playerbase (I've just done a bathhouse Volge at nearly 1 AM on a week day and the place was pretty packed). Also, all games lose a portion of their playerbase after the "honeymoon" period, once people realize a given game wasn't exactly their style/the hype has worn off.

So I'll keep on playing and enjoying the game, thank you

Your white knighting is more detrimental than any negative feedback will ever be.

FYI, game forums are meant to be a bridge between developers and players. If you don't complain about your gripes, the developers will continue down the same path and continue to deliver sub par to mediocre games. You may be content with such things but some people actually aspire for better.

Here's the thing, if people didn't care about this game, they would do exactly what you're claiming they should do and that's just walk away. You know what that will accomplish? absolutely nothing. In fact it will actually hurt the company because they'll lose their player base and they won't know what's wrong. Think about these things the next time you decide to post a bait thread like this calling people whiners.
When asked to give advice on being successful Elon Musk said two things: use "physics thinking" and "really pay attention to negative feedback, solicit it."

That said, there's a difference between constructive criticism and mindless complaining. It's an important distinction, both exist on these forums, and the ones who can recognize the difference, then use it to direct their concerns, with brevity, are the ones who will effect change. Just polluting an environment with bullying, in the form of ad hominem attacks, will not serve the purpose that you have discussed here; and that, I believe, is the concern. Plus, positive feedback is not bad, and people should not be afraid, from ridicule, to give it.

    I'm new to this community....

Don't be hating on Cake or Pie. But what the heck, who eats the strawberry ice cream anyways?

I really enjoy this game, even though I suck at it... I bet it was better at one point, But Ya. I've been through games dying (DoMO) and been through games that I just don't enjoy and quit playing (APB:R). wait....

I don't have a point to this post. But I'm gonna play some more of the game (Defiance) now.

    Bu-bye.
    Love Tibbs~

I really like the game, the show, and the world in general. If I didn't, I wouldn't have gone way out of my way and comfort level to sort of informally "advertise" it all to some of the groups and communities I'm in.

Still, I am afraid that I'm going to lose interest, or not find what I'm hoping for. Mainly, I've been posting in the Story/Lore forum about RP and things, and it just hasn't been successful. It may be because that forum is grouped under Gameplay Discussion, I don't know. Could even be that this game just doesn't attract the types of people that are interested in that stuff, or I just waited too long to get into it.

Either way the game is really good, and I think it has a lot of potential.

    You just broke the code.

All of us with bad manners?
A lot of us started out just like you.

    We gave bug reports.
    We gave feedback.
    We gave suggestions.
    We got ignored.
    We got frustrated.
We got 'soon', till it became a vulgar word.
We saw broken stuff stay broken.
We saw some stuff get fixed, and then broken again with the next patch.

And we got tired of seeing a game we loved, that had a lot of potential look like it was being torpedoed by the only people who could make it a success.

As you are now, once were we.
If you have the tenacity to hang in:
As we are now, you might be.

It's just a matter of time, and you haven't put yours in, yet.
No clue what platform you play on, but if it's PC, type /played into the text line.

Get back to me when the number is higher than, oh... 60 days.

    (Mine is).

That number doesn't give me credibility.
    It's not my E-Peen.
It doesn't make me special in any way.
It's just an indication of how much time I've spent getting this perspective.
    These are just my opinions.

    Forum?

What's with the negativity on this forum ?
I really don't care, but what I care is that when I started to play this game there were plenty of ppl on the server. Now, it's hard to find ppl for a Volge siege. There was hundred ppl in my clan and almost 20 ever online, now if there is one I'm happy. There was PvP on every map, now if I can start on only one map I'm lucky...

    That is real negativity.
