    Trick killed me.

I have no way to prove it really. But this is what happened.

I was Ark Fall Hunting to gain keys to unlock the precious Epic Mod Hoards. I ported to the Thorn Liro Light House as its a good AFK area to take a break. When I got there I saw a single person standing around. They looked cool so like with any cool looking character I inspect them. He was wearing the Dark Matter sniper outfit with a Sprit Rider Hunter helmet. A very cool waste landish look indeed.

Well upon further review of things something was telling me this was Trick himself. So without delay I sent a duel request. "Im getting this notch on my belt."

The first round he won. I was using my Charge Blade build and Trick actually tricked me with a Decoy. I never get tricked with Decoy since I myself used it so much that I spot them a mile away. But this time I was fooled up and got shot up for it.

The second round was all me. I hit him with a stun grenade and closed in for the melee kill when he couldn't Aim. He was using a AR btw.

The 3rd round he tricked me again. This time he fired off his gun, which seemed weird to me for him to do that and give away his position. But knowing were he was I did not think twice, so with this I activated my Blur for the first time and ready up to end this. I ran around the corner to were he was to see a flashing red exclamation mark. His grenade waiting for me as I came running. He anticipated me to come to him upon him firing off his gun. He did it on purpose. With his grenade exploding under my feet as I tried to jump away and him unloading his AR I died within seconds.

Afterwards he did the greet emote and I did the same. I talked to him to find out it was indeed Trick himself. He told me I was the first person he dueled outside the office.

Now idk. It could be some guy lying. But the name is what made me think it was him to begin with. And upon talking to him and him telling me what he told me then what would be gained from lying?

I told him I wouldn't give out his GT or in-game name. I figure he wouldn't want to get mobbed with friend invites and msgs.

What would someone gain from lying about that... hm.
Given that they said they don't give out their names to anyone, hm....

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

The first round I felt pretty sure that the decoy would work. You didn't know that was my power and I knew that most people forgot about the teleport ability. It's one of my favorite powers for duels. Also, that area outside Diablo Lighthouse is PERFECT for a good bait and switch. I felt right proud.

Now, it's worth noting that I was not in a Dueling loadout, which will be obvious in a moment. My alt weapon was a Derailer sniper rifle. This was NEVER going to work in such close quarters. However my VOT AR could deal out damage quickly if I could aim. (It has a large bloom, so it is useless outside aim mode.)

When you flashbanged me on round 2, I just uttered "Well... schtako." And died. Horribly. Well played.

I realized I probably couldn't take you in a straight gun battle, so I tried the crazy plan. I fired my decoy off towards someplace safe, fired my sniper rifle to get your attention, then tried the grenade gambit. Those three seconds of waiting for you to round the corner were nail-biting in the extreme. I had no idea if it would work, and my backup plan hinged entirely on you being distracted by loud noises.

I'm pretty sure that if you'd rounded that corner in a half-second more or less time, you'd have killed me dead.
