Please help me to log in with Steam

Hi guys, I need a little help probably doing something wrong...

- I press "play" in Steam.
- Got the cd-key screen (copy the key to clipboard)
- Got the Defiance log in screen => type my Trions account email address/password
- Paste the cd key
=> error saying that my login or password are wrong

same error if I use my steam password........

What I am doing wrong ?

You use your trion account. not steam account to log in.

A previous poster pointed out you need to use your TrionWorlds account information. You paste your Steam CD Keys in this website,

Or if you don't trust the link, go to TrionWorlds.com, sign in, and go to Apply Code and put in your CD keys there.

Well steam and trions use the same email address... I switched the passwords, but still the same problem.

i still have the same problem with steam account and i've redeemed thee keys and put tryon login /pass but cannot recognize me

Update: found it...

Silly me! The authenticator field is NOT for the cd key.................... I had to leave empty. Now the game is downloading.

I'm having this same issue. I've even tried using my Trion info to log into the Trion page, to no avail. I've tried uninstalling and re-downloading the patcher client from both the website and Steam, again to no avail. It just keeps telling me that my email and password are wrong, and I had to create a second account to even post here. The only thing I was able to do while I was automatically logged in (after verifying my email address) was set up my payment plan and apply all four of my codes to the account.

Honestly, I'm beginning to get really frustrated by this. I spent nearly a hundred dollars to get the special edition of some game I can't even play because of some dumb error on the part of the developer. Help would be much appreciated at this point.

And before you ask, yes, I am 100% sure that I typed my information in correctly. Don't even try to assume as such, because it is insulting.

99% of the people who got loggin errors are putting their steam CD keys in the authentication field.. then they go on the server and rage like people who think they do things right.. then they change their password.. then they rage more..

1) the authenticator field is NOT your CD key.. google world of warcraft authenticator.. or SWTOR authenticator.. its a 2nd password device to keep your account more secure..

2) if you change your password it will take some time to log in.. servers are recieveing ALOT of login requests last night so relax go watch something on netflix and retry after with the password and email you used to see this stuff

I'm not putting anything into the authenticator field. But you say this is just something server-side? Meaning that, even though I was able to change my password, and even create a second account and log in with it, that it will "take time" for me to be able to log in?.... I sincerely hope this game is worth it when I am finally able to log in, as up to this point, it has been nothing but frustration. In the mean time, I'm going to try running this thing as an administrator to see if it makes any difference.
