83 more dmg than the 4000 ego one though, that's kind of nice. Still the syphon proc is kinda key here.
Actual no, OP probably has additional 5% damage increase from mastery level 20.
The damage difference is becuase he hasnt maxed his weapon skill you can tell because the crit multiplier is not the same and it should be.
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with EGO level. Earlier today I picked up the EL thunder and it was fire nano at 1250 ego req... qhich seems weird on it's own because that was way more than 100 off my 1590 rating; regardlee. This last round on the vendor they were showing up as syphon nano at 1600 eqo req. Oddly with less damage though and the first one didn't come with a damage mod either. *shrug*

Level 20 Sniper on the fire, Level 5 sniper on the siphon. So 15 levels of passive stats. (2% fire rate, 1% reload, 1% crit, 5% recoil) vs (5% dmg, 10% fire rate, 5% reload, 5% crit, 5% recoil, 15% melee, 5% trigger effect)
I dont mind so much on the sniper but I do want the LMG to be syphon.
I'm at around 2500 on PS3 and I'm not getting syphon on any of them, including the Lifestealer pistol, which is pretty clearly supposed to be syphon from the name. I'd just chalk it up to bad coding or bad design.
