    Arena help and tips please?

so i dont know why but i cant beat the arena mission that gives you your first ghetto charge blade but you gotta score atleast 5k and get silver and i end up short at 4k every time and its getting really ****ing annoying, any tips or tricks to beat it would be much apperciated. i hate arena's with a fiery passion so it could be that im just terrible at it or maybe my smg/shotgun method is the wrong approach to it but i really wanna get this out the way so i can get back to working towards my charge blade

    Invader Triumphs

A reved up Invader and an AR with syphon got me gold in all five arenas. The bugs spawn, attack and kill weakened opponents.

Ran arenas for the first time today and didn't have any problem getting gold on each first try. Just gotta move and react. Best advice would be to make sure you use two different ammo types so you don't have to reload during stages; use your grenades wisely; and don't chase the skitterling if you're not there for the loot.

Side note: I assume the rankings reset daily?

I don't know about anything after the first, but I farmed the first one to get enough rep for the blue chargeblade at the vendor. Using a (stingray) BMG for large groups (fast linking, destroys skitterling swarms) and a double-shot pistol for everything else. Gold every time, little effort necessary.

I might try an infector for the second one... Also interested in hearing more tips for these.

Since Patch 1.105's damage boosts, the purple and orange disruptors have moved into my arenas category (but not a lower tier because the damage is too low and will sometimes cause your multiplier to drop (tbh I don't remember the blue's damage, so maybe...); previous to this change the Soleptor Enterprises vendor's disruptor (at the crater) worked for this application - and much better now.

    So, here's what I suggest:

-Get either a purple, orange, or the Soleptor Enterprises rep. vendor's disruptor (green), mod it with x1.07 damage, and get a mag mod (T3 pref, T2 workable). The primary function is to keep your multiplier up and act like a shotgun, with a lot of ammo, snap target acquisition, and no splash to hurt yourself.
-Get a separate weapon specifically for DPS. I use a Grind Fragger, but a blaster with +12mag would probably be fine too (or if you are good with your ammo you could use a different higher DPS SMG/LMG/AR (this is the best option for this specific arena, but it's also harder) - ask me if you need suggestions, or for me to help you pick from what you have - you can send me a PM if you like and I'll help you). Save this weapon for big (high multiplier) mobs that you need to take down fast - so you get big points before your multiplier drops.
-get the perk "Preparedness." You will use this to keep up your multiplier by never reloading.

Optional but highly recommended Perks and EGO in order of importance:

-Overpower (DPS CD; instant reload, for times when 1 mag isn't enough)
    -Detachment
-Rear guard (I tend to take a lot of damage from behind so this saves my a** >.> lol, if you feel like you don't take that much then this comes after fortitude/cellular armor)
    -fortitude
-cellular armor (if you use a big shield then this switches places with fortitude - I use a Respark for arenas though)
    -killing machine
    -quick charge
-killing spree (if need something more defensive take "escape artist" instead - and put if higher priority)
-energy leach (if you need more mitigation take "thick Skinned" instead - and put if higher priority)

Aside from all of that, the albino skitterlings are worth 300 points times your multiplier (so 3000 points with a x10 mult.). The final arena is one of the harder ones to get these, but if you can do it without wasting too much time, then take him down.

I have been extremely successful with this setup and will generally get gold in the first round - though not normally on this specific arena. This arena can be tough, but if you just focus on using the little bots to stay at x10 mult. you will do fine (manage them instead of indiscriminately taking them all out). If you think something will take a while to kill: tag it once or twice, then tag a bot, then tag it again, rinse repeat. LOS is your friend, always have a spot near you where you can reduce the amount of fire you are taking while still being able to maintain your target - because of this you need to know your surroundings. Getting some of the big mobs with a good multiplier is key, so manage your multiplier, weapons, and ammo well. Best of luck, hope this helps and the perks/weapons weren't too far out of reach.

My 2 cents, happy hunting :-)
