That's pretty awful then. It's very sloppy (again) on their part to address the actual exploit the way it's apparently being done if they're hitting players that simply used the vendor as intended. If they can't do it properly they shouldn't have done it at all (the bans and punishment - not the placement of the Extra Life vendors with bugs - better to have them there for a charity event buggy than not at all IMO).

I didnt watch it so I wont say that not true. If they really wanted to help players with their old gear I would hope they wouldnt resort to using the extra life event. I dont know about this group but things were said before by people no longer around that turned out to be not so true.

lol @ ppl getting mad because they got caught. You guys try and exploit the game every which way possible all the time. You never take a little, you always take a lot. And if you could in one easy swoop you would take it all from everybody.

This is the scenario. You are a punk kid Trick or Treating. You come up to a nice decorated house with a bowl of good candy that sits on the front porch. With a sign written in spooky letters that's says "Please take one.". And what do you do? You open up your bag and pour the whole bowl of candy into it! And then you laugh and skip down the drive way...

...but what your punk *** didn't know was that a bigger kid lives in that house and he was watching you though his bedroom window. He saw you take the whole bowl of candy. He then comes running out of the house and catches you. And because you took the whole bowl of candy for yourself, which was supposed to be used and be fun for everyone else to, he takes your whole bag of candy away from you. The candy that you stole and all the candy that you earned. End

I hope my story put some things in perspective for everyone. Trion is handing out old school Halloween justice...and I like it

I have heard this too that they are taking way more than was made from the glitch. Thats just messed up. I buy and sell all the time and spend bits to open boxes to get many legendaries so if this happened to me its pretty much like stealing real money from your own customers.

And you cant tell me that the developers did not see the price differences in sale and resale, so its the developers fault to begin with. Bunch of crap, I wont be spending another dime on this game for sure.

I reported the glitch after the first time the vendor showed up. Then when the vendor came back and the problem wasn't fixed, I took advantage of it (couldn't resist the appeal of free scrip, heh). It's only normal that they're taking that scrip away from me, even if they end up taking away a little more: I played with fire and I got burned.

The economy actually sparked up again for a day or two, and partly due to a programming error in vendor buy back coding.

Now the Area chat is blowing up about people missing scrip. Upon talking to these people, I've learned that they all took advantage of the ExtraLife vendors shield buy and sell price.

I didn't do this glitch, and so none of my scrip is gone. BUT! There's always a but... These same people that admit to taking advantage of poor programming also are missing much more scrip than they earned through the vendor.

Was this the intended punishment? Was this punishment even warranted? It was nice seeing a lot of trading going on. And it's also nice to see Trion take action against a form of cheating. But did they take it to far?

Do you believe them? I think they are making a mountain out of mole hill to get sympathy. =P

It was like a test of moral and some people failed it.

How was that good for economy? Inflation is never good. I don't mind people who've been played a lot and have earned a lot of scrip in honest ways are in control of the economy. But not these expoliters who have not seen how wrong they were even after they've been punished.

It was never Trion's fault. As players, when we see a bug or exploit, we are supposed to report it and move on. I was watching the live stream for a few hours and no one said it to the Devs while I was watching.

Hey guys -

I wanted to pop in and let you guys know what's going on.

As you know, there was an exploit with the Extra Life vendor. While most folks didn't take advantage of this, some did. We're in the process of taking back the scrip earned due to that exploit.

If any of you have questions or think that an action was taken against you unfairly, send me a PM and I can look into what's going on (please include your user name and the platform you are on!)

Oh please say you are going to carry this over to people who use other exploits.
