It is just a game. But Defiance is holding itself up as a serious MMO. If they let this exploit go without dealing penalties then that wouldn't look good. Its better that they dealt with it the way they did because lets face it ppl where majorly cheating, where as most didn't do it.

Actually Trion took 7 million that wasn't theirs to take. So why should I lose more then everyone else?

1. Trion can take a lot more than 7 million. Everything you have in the game is Trion's to take. Read the terms of use and end user license agreement. It can mete out any form of punishment it wants for any infraction of the TOS and/or EULA. If you got caught exploiting Trion would have been completely within its rights to terminate your account with no refunds.

2. It's completely appropriate for you to lose content that was unconnected with your use of the exploit. Per my post to which you responded, it's a form of punishment. Players arguing that they shouldn't have been penalized and only should have had the scrip from the exploit confiscated are simply showing a self absorbed sense of entitlement and their inability to understand the concept of what an actual penalty is or should be.

Part of the point though Nef is that there are folks who were popped who were not part of the exploiting as well and the fact that Trion was made aware of the issue and supposedly ignored(worse censured) the reporting of it during the live stream.

Oh my lord are you serious, trion has everything in the data base at their finger tips and that goes for the vendor's log files

I too saw the difference to at the vendor just like Nef did and I also didn't take advantage of it, they should have banned you clowns for a month so ya got off lucky
