For me personally, i just want a console MMO and this game looks pretty freakin sweet.
I'm sure i'll watch the tv show, but my main focus is the game, and solely the game.

well Im only getting the game BECAUSE of the tv show.. the tv show actually interests me.. the game not as much.. so Id be watching the show even if the game didnt exist.. also youre getting it becuase you want a GOOD console MMO? while Im sure this game wont be BAD... FFXIV comes out in the summer and Im sure itll be the BEST console MMO (until/if something better comes out)

5 minutes into FFXI, i was so confused, i didn't have a clue what i was doing. Maybe it'd be better now since i have a bit more gaming experience under my belt, or maybe i just thought the game sucked.

Either way, it wasn't that great to me.

5 minutes isnt enough time to decide if a game sucks... thats like a shrink declaring someoen insane with just one question... thats not how it works, even if a game truly is sucky you need more than 5 minutes to rightfully come to that conclusion.. I mean first of you need enough time to learn to play the game so you determine "does this game suck because I suck" or "does this game suck because it really IS bad" Also its an MMO theyre huge scope, size and flexibility would make ANYONE lost in the first 5 minutes.. its like going out into the world for the first time being dropped in the middle of a city and saying "figure it out". I dont recall skyrim or dark souls giving you a big red arrow that said "go this way" you had to explore and figure things out.

Im sure in Defiance ill be walking around lost the first hour running around killing stuff aimlessly until i learn exactly what it is Im supposed to accomplish.. after that then its figured out how to go about accomplishing it

I think the show sounds really interesting, and I'm not even the sort of person that watches TV shows regularly. I'm looking forward to watching it, and seeing how they integrate it with the game.

I'm excited for both. Even though i am more exited for the Game then the Show, it could change. As we don't know how good the show or even the game is. It was like Falling Skies, i wasn't excited to see the show (pre release) and when it did start airing, i fell in love with it.
