Legendary weapons at Dark Matter Arkfall

Now that I think about it, I've received one OJ from a DM arkfall and a Volge siege. Regrettably, neither one was worth getting excited over.

You can get an orange weapon from a:

1. Tier II, Tier III, or Tier IV Lockbox
2. Volge Siege (Not from an Infected Siege...as far as I know)
3. Dark Matter Arkfall (No other Arkfall will net you a Legendary, EVER.)

Those are the ONLY ways to get an orange weapon in this game; other than the Orange Charge blade available at the Thorn Liro Vendor; and of course the most efficient way, or used to be at least, trading.

EGO does not seem to be part of requirement for legendary chance. My first legendary has an EGO 170 rating.

EGO Level has zero effect on Legendary drop chance.

Score on a Dark Matter Arkfall and score on Volge Siege also have zero effect on Legendary drop chance.

(Small note - you must score at least 20,000 points on a Volge Siege to have a chance at a Legendary Weapon; if you do not hit 20,000 Points you have zero chance of a legendary)

I got an orange cluster for being first on a major DM arkfall the other day and was wondering by finishing first are you guaranteed a legendary weapon? or is it just that I got really lucky?

I got an orange ground and pound and didn't finish in the top 20, so I would guess its random.

... or from raising over $150 for EL last weekend, that's how I got my first (and only) legendary charge blade.

I have never gotten an orange at an arkfall. Ive gotten blues and some pinks, but never orange.
Even DM arkfalls.
Does it have to be a Dark Matter Arkfall?
Does your ego count because Im only ego 2,750-ish or so.

What are these pinks you speak of? My female toon has a cute pink Duni. I think a pink Volge LMG would be bad *** for her to sport around Defiance!
