I think the idea would be to do it in real time (starting at code entry) to encourage a high number of players for the first week.
The trade off is the art, stickers, figurine, dvd, contract, music....
You are getting what a collectors edition is suppose to be. The difference is the PC version can do a digital version (which is becoming more popular) and they are compensating those people with longer bonuses instead of reaping the benefits of not having to send these people the collectors edition crap. From a monetary standpoint though you get more for you money with the physical copy.

lol as I'm making this post I'm convincing my self I probly want the 360 collectors edition ~_~
but I'm not clear on the "Unique Vehicle Color" it's listed under the DELUXE PC edition only?
"The preorder offer is not a vehicle color as much as a special color vehicle. All Ark Hunters start out with a quad runner they can summon at any time. Those who preorder will have a different looking starting vehicle than anyone else. The color does not apply to any other vehicle you acquire or drive as you play the game."

"Those who preorder will have a different looking starting vehicle "
ok so its a vehicle not just a color "great" but do I only get it if I preorder the "DELUXE PC edition?" or is it for any preorder like the "In-game title: IRON DEMON" or is it suposed to be included in the "console Collector's Edition"?
Trion seriously needs to update there websit with better more precise/ clear wording -_-
That vehicle color might only be for the digital PC version to make sure they're getting something unique for their $100. They're paying the same price as the other CEs but they don't get any of the cool physical stuff.
I'm assuming these are items that come in general if you pre-order, but for clarification, the following items:
Do you get those regardless of where you pre-order (with the exception of the weapon which will vary from vendor to vendor) or just via Trion?Guaranteed BETA invite

How nice of them to group together into a guild so I can tell which people I should ignore at a glance. Seriously, people like that, not worth your time.

Now what gets me is that it says it needs 10gb of available storage. Does that mean it will store 10gb of info on the xbox. If so I'll need a bigger hard drive

I doubt the pre-order bonuses applies with "Amazon.co.uk". Considering, how you first pay upon them shipping the ultimate edition to you, which they'll first do on the day the game releases.
Well I'm sure they wouldn't list what you get if it won't apply. There is a little thing called the trading act.
