It still irks me that the Ultimate Edition is only available at Gamestop in the United States.
You just repeated what I said. You pay them/They charge you first upon actually shipping the order. That means that you can get the pre-order bonuses for free though canceling the order the day before it ships. Doesn't sound like a profitable business idea to handout free exclusive pre-order bonuses to anyone whom simply reserves a copy. Besides, most online retailers have pre-order bonuses in form of keys that they handout along with the shipping through email, in other words; If there are pre-order bonuses they'll only be given along with the release of the game.
And as of now they have no clue about any pre-order bonuses either. Judging from the response people whom contacted amazon.co.uk about it gotten.
Just updated the original post with some new answers!

I understand that the "countdown timer" on the pre-order XP boost begins when we first log-in to the game.
However, it has been my experience with previous MMOs that there are numerous technical problems (lag, overloaded servers, etc.) that crop up immediately after the official release date that prevent players from actually playing the game. Therefore, in order to ensure that we get the most out of our pre-order XP boosts - would it be advisable to delay logging in to the game until we hear from other players (as well as these official forums) whether or not they're actually able to play Defiance over a period of several days without too many problems?
This irks me too because I hate Gamestop and I do live in the United States. I prefer Best Buy because they have a Reward Zone program that allows you to earn certificates that function like coupons. I've been able to finance many video game purchases because of these Reward Zone certificates.
Nevertheless, I really wanted to get the Ultimate Edition so I did go to Gamestop - but I'm upset that this was the only option to get this particular edition.![]()
@The boost issues - that's why we are doing multiple stress tests and beta events now - to avoid those issues!

I was wondering- seeing as we're nearing the end of a console cycle (and I, in no means, am making any judgment towards the success of the game), is the game going to be playable offline, singleplayer, private matches, etc.?
I'm wondering because I have more friends that would play this on Xbox than on PC, so I'm debating which platform to get it for.
Thanks. I'm truly looking forward to this. And the show, of course.

Ok, not sure if it's been answered yet, but why do the digital versions get (among other things) custom vehicle colours and 30 day scrip/xp boosts for $60-99 and the physical versions $60-150 only get 7 day scrip/xp boosts?
It is on the first page from Myll_Erik:
Q: Why does the $150 Ultimate edition only get 7 days of xp/script but the Digital Deluxe gets 30 days?
A: The Ultimate Edition comes with much more value in the form of collectible art book, hellbug statue, and of course the Season Pass and bits. Since digital customers won’t be getting any of those, we wanted to make sure they had good value in their edition also. Don’t worry, you will be able to purchase boosts in the Defiance store once the game is live.
