Just please Fix the chat only I LOVE THIS GAME , BUT WE NEED COMMUNICATION!!!

Just forget the new tab window for the chat and make it Like rift or other games , Chat at the main HUD screen of our game,This game is perfect thats my opinion , some guys bored of it cus there isnt something ofc like maps or anything , i know its hard u are doing ur job and doing it over the Series defiance ! But that chat is horrible , none uses it and if u dont have clan u are alone in this game ! JUst make the chat "more simple" so people can notice when someone types! Just remove the new tab chat and make it at the right corner down

Got to agree with this. Just grabbed the game last night on the Steam sale. Really good deal btw, the game is fun and i am enjoying it, but talking to someone or trying to talk to someone is hard. Did an err instance thing earlier and none of us said a word. in other MMOs, like RIFT and such xD, the team chat is usually full of jokes and good times, even when playing with strangers. Here... its just boring. Get this sorted asap.

My chats usually go like this:
- someone to me: hey
- me to someone, 15 minutes later: hey, sorry didn't see your message
- no response.

They ARE fixing it, but you're right in that they haven't been very clear on what exactly is changing and when that change will happen.

I mean just make it like any other MMO where the chat window is permanently up and there are different "channels" for things like say, yell, party, guild, trade, zone and world, with everyone automatically in zone and world.
Hitting enter lets you type and you can do commands like /p /g /t /z /w to speak in the respective channels.

Let console users use...I dunno, select or something to enter the chat? lol or whatever button it is now.

To be honest, I'm not sure console users would even use voice chat anymore. I think Xbox Users have been using our party option on LIVE for so long that it's become second nature. As for text, I'd almost prefer the previous way.

They fixed it, the result is this ... an insult.

I can login and play for hours and that little chat box in the lower right corner... will never change.

Can hit esc then see in a long thin chat window at the bottom area of the "window blocking window screen" it will be something else.Then can tap the enter key and click through the chat screens tab options and view another totally different version of chat that SHOULD be showing up in the first little chat box in the lower right hand corner of the screen... but doesn't.

THE WORST chat system never imagined if they aren't just trying to prank the players on purpose.

Could just have us all send emails to each other would be more efficient.... maybe beepers would be better then this crap.

Maybe they don't want players talking to each other...

That on-screen chat that everyone loathed in Alpha was much better than what we've got now.

One basic thing that every MMO needs is the ability for players to communicate. You, Trion, had one thing to do...and you didn't do it.
